Lithia Great Falls CJD

Lithia CJD of Great Falls never wants any vehicle to break down nor do they ever want to upset a customer.  Lithia CJD of Great Falls spent over $500 in goodwill to tow the Jeep from the Cut Bank Chrysler store to Great Falls only to reconfirm Northern Cut...

Bank's diagnoses that the vehicles fuel was contaminated. While this was occurring the [redacted]'s yelled and cursed at multiple employees who were trying to help and find solutions. After the vehicle failed to start a second time Mr. [redacted] was so demeaning to the Lithia employee he brought him to tears. When I  contacted Mrs. [redacted] she was obviously frustrated and refused to listen to a word he had to say and began yelling and cursing at me as well.  It is impossible to help a customer if they will not let you help. Our employees are good people and cannot be treated the way the [redacted]'s have treated them.  Sincerely,Brian B[redacted] GM

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:I have recorded audio of the Lithia Corporate Representative Melinda in Oregon stating that the dealership is not willing to help in anyway because they are having "Personality Conflicts". She also says to contact the warranty company. I also have recorded audio of the warranty company stating I need to call Lithia Corporate to resolve this and that they handle claims "in-house". I have not made any progress with either company. I have since hired a lawyer, [redacted], who will be handling all communication between myself and the dealership and all matters concerning this issue. I also have recorded audio of Northern Chrysler's repairman Kenny stating that on the first break down, he told them it was a fuel pump and not contaminated fuel. I have written communication of Brian at Lithia saying they towed the vehicle to their facility out of good faith because I wanted them to confirm Northern Chrysler's diagnosis of the issue. I did not tell them to go and get the vehicle, I agreed with Jeremy's resolution to let them take the car to repair the issue. They also said they wanted to take the vehicle to be sure that I wasn't being taken advantage of because I am a female. They lied to me about what Kenny at Norther Chrysler said the issue was. I can send the audio recording to anyone who wishes to see it that he told them it needed a new fuel pump. They did not do what Kenny recommended and instead patched the vehicle with a bandaid without fixing the real problem. I could have backed out of this deal with American Credit Acceptance. I had their approval but I allowed Lithia to talk me out of it. Now that the deal is final, there has not been any resolve offered to us. I would also ask the company if they would be willing to release the recordings of all of our communications between our dealer and the manager to show the true demeanor of their employees and why we were so upset with them. It will also prove that they did not offer us a resolution at all. Lithia is being dishonest about trying to resolve the issue. Instead they keep referring us to third party companies to handle the issue instead. When calling these companies, they have no idea what we are talking about and basically tell us to get into contact with the selling dealership. We also attempted to call them on 2/1/17 and left a message to call us back so we could tell them we were hiring a lawyer. We did not receive a call back.
Sincerely,
[redacted]

I will relay the same message I previously sent to Mrs. [redacted] via dealerrater. "I would love to help you but we need to be able to have a conversation and listen respectfully  to each other even if we disagree." I can be reached directly at [redacted]. Sincerely,Brian B[redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:I did not use demeaning language to any employees until they used it themselves. The Lithia Employees were demeaning to first my husband who then responded with demeaning language back. He hung up and we asked to talk to the Manager, the secretary tried to reroute me back to the salesmen and I firmly stated I did not want to talk to him and I wanted to talk to the Manager (Who previously told me to contact him with issues from the first breakdown). I cannot believe I am being made out to be the bad guy here when it is their product that has caused a customer hardship. They did not offer to find solutions either. The salesmen did not attempt to handle this instead said, "What did you want us to do take the whole car apart!?" After so much stress of course we would be upset by that comment. Then the manager called me back to basically tell me the exact same thing that "THEY SPENT $500 to tow a car after we threatened to back out of the contract. We believed them that they fixed the problem. The Cutbank Chrysler Shop also told me that he did not tell Lithia that there was bad fuel...he told them it needed a new fuel pump. I can also give BCC the phone number to Kenny at Northern Chrysler and he will confirm that Lithia refused to let him replace the fuel pump in the vehicle. The vehicle was not towed out of good faith. Lithia instead lied about what Kenny at Northern Chrysler told them that it was a faulty fuel pump. I used language to the manager after he told me "You got a great deal, I can't help your credit, I don't pay your bills." This was a very insulting statement and somehow he feels because I don't have exemplary credit that I deserve what happened. I then said "Are you kidding me?" And he said "Why would I kid you?" He did not want to resolve anything with me. I also have recordings of the conversation with the Lithia Corporation who told me that the dealership said they refuse to work with me because of "PERSONALITY CONFLICTS". I did not know that a publically traded company does not deal with a diverse group of people and personalities and that somehow a public company can back out on a paying customer just like that.
Sincerely,

Review: We went in to test drive a 2014 Dodge Caravan that was advertised. They told us they just sold the "last" one. Would not show us one. According to their web site , they still have many on the lot. This was just a ploy to get us in there, as they were trying to clean out the used cars on the lot and offered several 2012 vehicles. We finally drove two different ones and agreed to buy one. However, there was only one key. The salesman assured us that a second key would be found or provided within the week. I have called each week and am now told if there was only one, they are not responsible to provide another one. The key was not noted on one of the forms {why should it be? we felt this was not an issue. Salesman [redacted] {said he was sent here by the bank in Florida} even said because this is a certified vehicle it must be complete, down to the keys. {another lie} My question is this....How can they ever be trusted as a business if we cannot believe anything they say. It is buyer beware if you go to Lithia Dodge. In Montana, a business cannot survive if the owners and sales people are not trustworthy.Desired Settlement: I am disappointed that they refuse to get us the second key. This was a DEFINITE promise. The rest, I will attribute to my own stupidity to believe their sales pitch. I want the Key at NO Charge to me.

My salesmanager, [redacted], spoke with [redacted] yesterday and has made arrangements with their local dealer to provide [redacted] with a second key.

Review: I went to Lithia (Dodge Jeep) to particiapte in their promotion to spin a wheel and earn a prize. I had no intention of purchasing a vehicle. I did however want to see if I could get a lower payment on my 2010 Ford Ranger. They were unable to but said they might have a vehicle that was in my price range. I specifically told them the only two things I cared about the vehicle having was a tow package and a 6 cylinder engine because I had to be able to tow a boat, ATVs, and/or a trailer at any given time because I like the outdoors. My saleswoman (who was from out of town, specifically came to my location for this promo) came back from the lot with a 2014 Jeep Patriot. She claimed it was a 6 cylinder and that under the bumper panel was a tow package and that all I had to do was take it to the service department and they would take off the rear bumper panel, exposing the tow package. I never thought to look under the hood and check to see if it was a 6 cylinder I trusted that she new her job and if not would ask someone who knew about the vehicle. I bought the vehicle without a cosigner, took it home and was getting ready for a trip (a few months later) needless to say, I checked under the hood and saw it was a 4 cylinder and then checked under the rear bumper and there was no tow package. I went back to Lithia with the complaint saying this was not at all the vehicle I wanted or asked for when I had previously been in. They tried to get me in a new vehicle but failed to tell me they had to run my credit yet again, and in doing so, my credit dropped 100 points. I tried to talk to a manger about what was going on. He said the only thing he could do for me was to refinance a different vehicle with a cosigner or I could put a tow package on the Jeep Patriot but I would have to buy it and the labor would be free. He did not understand that the Jeep Patriot would not tow the boat (which is the lightest of the three I needed to tow) at over 2000 lbs without doing serious damage to the transmission even over time. He basically told me that was all he could do and the longer I waited for a decision the harder it would be for me to get what I needed.Desired Settlement: I want Lithia to buy back the Jeep Patriot at $2000 more than what I owe on the total amount of my loan. I would like to be able to purchase a vehicle elsewhere that I have done research on and be able to put a down payment on with the extra $200. If not, then I would only be willing to accept them to buy back the Jeep Patriot at what owed on the total amount of my loan. Also, I want any information regarding the purchase of the Jeep Patriot taken off my FICO score and the 100 points I lost because of this to be regiven. I also want a formal apology from Lithia that they messed up.

Review: I entered vehicle purchase with excellent credit and expectations of using the dealer advertised Chrysler Capital interest rate of 1.9% on a new vehicle. Disclosure of a higher 4.57% rate was not revealed until after a sales agreement was signed and finalized. The purchase would have either been further negotiated or not agreed upon knowing that the financing rate was more than double what was advertised. The dealership/salesperson exploited this bait and switch tactic leaving me, the customer, financially exploited.Desired Settlement: A settlement of $2651.93; this being the difference in interest rate charges incurred from the advertised 1.9% rate to the 4.57% locked rate.

Thank you for your email regarding

Mr. [redacted]'s concern. I am sorry Mr. [redacted] is not

satisfied with his recent sales experience. However, after reviewing our sales

documents and visiting with all parties involved in the transaction I must

refute the allegations contained in the email. Mr. [redacted] alleges that Lithia

Chrysler Jeep Dodge of Great Falls exploited him by using a bait and switch

tactic.

Review: I bought a brand new [redacted] truck 4 months ago. I had a flat tire on the truck and my husband went to change the tire. The spare tire that came with the (BRAND NEW TRUCK) did not fit the truck there for left us stranded for 4 hours as we had no cell service. My husband went to the [redacted] dealer in great falls where I bought the truck with the spare that came with the truck and 2 hours later we were told there was nothing they can do and that it was our problem. I have contacted my attorney to persue this leagally. Understanding this will cost me more than what the tire is worth im am still going to take action leagally unless this is resolved with in the next 2 weeks under the advisment of our attorney. ThanksDesired Settlement: I would like a new spare tire that fits my truck. this is what I should have had when purchasing a brand new truck.

Response:

In good faith I am currently working with [redacted] to resolve the spare tire issue. Unfortunately the manufacture will not warranty the current spare tire for [redacted]’s 2013 [redacted] 3500 because the spare tire in question is for a 2011 [redacted] with 18 inch wheels. The new truck [redacted] purchased arrived at the dealership on June 13th and was ready for sale on the 17th. [redacted] purchased the new truck 5 days later on the 22nd of June. Although, I cannot rule out the possibility the manufacture’s spare tire was stolen and replaced with a [redacted] spare tire during the time it was my dealership the higher probability is the tire was stolen sometime during her six months of ownership. I am confident we will be able to reach an agreement that is fair for both parties.
