3500 Dually from Lithia Dodge of Las Cruces. Subsequent to his purchase Mr. [redacted] returned to the dealership demanding that he be given the aluminum wheels listed as part of the standard truck package he purchased. At that time we explained to Mr. [redacted] that the aluminum wheels were part of the standard equipment for the truck if, and only if, the truck was a single rear wheel vehicle. The truck he purchased had the dually package upgrade. Mr. [redacted] stated that he did not believe that to be the case. I, Vince A[redacted], the general manager for Lithia Dodge of Las Cruces, showed Mr, [redacted] the factory website that clearly shows that when the dually package is ordered the package requires steel wheels and is included in the charge for the dually option. Mr. [redacted] seemed okay with that explanation at the time. Later, I received several calls from our corporate office and Chrysler stating that Mr. [redacted] had contacted them trying to get the aluminum wheels he felt should have come with the vehicle. Once again, he was told that the truck he purchased came with the dually option which superseded the standard equipment and requires the steel wheel. He was explained this by not only myself, but our corporate office and Chrysler. The truck he purchased did not come equipped with the standard single rear wheel configuration. Mr. [redacted] received the equipment he paid for as required by Chrysler Motor Company when he purchased a dually (see attached option sheet for Dual Rear Wheels — WLA). It clearly states that you will receive 6 — 17" Steel Wheels (WD4). The steel wheels are required to handle the upgraded payloads and towing capacity.While it is unfortunate that Mr. [redacted] feels that he was cheated because he did not get the standard aluminum wheel, Lithia Dodge of Las Cruces did live up to all its obligations with regards to the sale of the vehicle. Mr. [redacted] received the wheels that come with the dually option. The engineers at Chrysler make that requirement necessary for the safety of the product. Mr. [redacted] received what he paid for when he chose to purchase a dually Ram 3500.
