Mrs *** visited Lithia on 12/15/and purchased a Ford FusionWe agreed on the figures and she signed the required documentsLithia was within the limits of the lawSince then Mrs*** has
returned several times and we've explained the contract to herIn good faith she asked us to cancel her after market options and so we did so
Regards
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 10, 2016/02/15) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
The response indicates actions by Lithia Ford concerning service contracts that were added to the sales contract erroneously and removed by the finance managerESP is an extended service contract that the customer can add, we did not ask for this to be added and it was removed and funds were refundedI have not returned to Lithia Ford since 12/26/2015, the day we were suppose to discuss the problems within the contractThat meeting was not successful, with my leaving and asking for ArbitrationThe finance manager then gave me DMV forms to file a complaintTheir response does not answer the complaints details or questions
"In good faith she asked us to cancel her after market options and so we did so"Only one option was cancelled and the cost refunded, the second option is still pending, the "Life Time Oil Change" has yet to be dealt with and funds refunded.(499.00) Mr *** mentioned that "Lithia was within the limits of the law"I think not, since my down payment and the rebates were added to the total cost of the car and then subtracted, that action cancelled out the total amount! The contract is null and void due to the many mistakes and erroneous figures entered on it

Ford did have a parts on backorder and unfortunately the customer did not qualify under Ford Motor Company criteria for rental
coverageThis is not a dealership decision nor do we have loner cars at the dealership levelI did tried to assist the customer and fought on his behalf to get covered because he his a Fresno customerThe dealership was also declinedI am not happy with Ford also and made it aware we both get effected for FMC denial of coverageI don't want our customers to be upset with Ford or the dealershipThe Rep from Ford also spoke with Mr *** regarding his concernsThe car has been repaired with the updated partsThe case is closed at FMC and at the dealership

+1

Ford motor company has up dated the internal parts of the Fiesta transmission and repaired the vehicle at 84,000 miles for no charge to the customer.
Ford motor company requires the dealership to inspect every vehicle on each service visit. The dealership fills out an inspection report called a...

report card and goes over those recommendations with the customer. Lithia Ford made recommendations to this customer based on the Ford maintenance manual and the mileage on this vehicle. These are recommendations only. The customer is not required to do any of these repairs and must understand these are recommended maintenance items to do or not to do as per the customer.
The customers vehicle has reached 90,000 miles and all of the maintenance items are recommended as per the maintenance schedule in the Ford hand book.
The vehicle can be driven without this items being serviced, it is up to the customer to decide when and at how many miles they should be performed.

Hi my name is [redacted] GSM here at Lithia Ford. I pulled several reports like car fax and auto check and our service records. This truck has never been in any accidents. we will call the customer and go over it. I have all the documentation if anyone wants to see. thank you.

Lithia ford of Fresno would like [redacted] to come to the dealership and meet with [redacted] the General Sales Manager and see if we can resolve his issue.

I am rejecting this response because: lithia states that the car is good however I've had the the car for 5 like months and the clutch in the transmission has been replaced and on 6/29/2016 I get in the vehicle and the car states that there is a transmission malfunction. On Friday 6/30/16 the service guy [redacted] says it** going to need a new transmission module and it will be ready monday. It** now Monday October 3 and I still don't have my car back. I'm convinced that lithia sold me a lemon.

[redacted] vehicle has a transmission control module that has an open circuit. Lithia Ford ordered the part and installed it on Tuesday the fourth and she has been called and the vehicle is ready for pickup. The transmission control module is a different issue then the internal transmission issue repaired previously. The module is a electronic device that sits outside the transmission and controls the shift pattern. The module has nothing to do with the internals operation of the transmission.

I am rejecting this response because:
I accepted the dealers response and went into Lithia Ford to meet with [redacted]. I was there...

for an hour and a half and at no point did I ever meet nor did I talk to [redacted] about anything. He had two salesmen push some numbers my way, but in the end they continued to insist I pay money just to get out of my car. I was willing to work out a deal, but they weren't willing to compromise and work their numbers to a point that everyone was willing to accept. I was appreciative of [redacted]'s professionalism as a salesmen, however, the invitation was meant for a meeting with [redacted] and he was nowhere to be found. They kept saying "he's pushing deals in the back," but he couldn't step outside for a quick greeting and reassure me that they would try to work something out. I test drove a newer model that I was interested in while they ran more numbers, but by the time I had gotten back they didn't have anything for me. I'm quite disgusted by the information I have discovered on their car selling tactics in regards to used cars. Lithia has a reputation for selling damaged cars and pleading ignorance as their customer service manager [redacted] tried to do saying that I did not see the damage when I purchased the car to which I replied, "I am not an auto technician." As it stands right now, I do not see Lithia Ford doing anything in their power to correct their mistake and keep me as a customer in any way, shape, or form. Thank you,[redacted]
