Lithia Toyota of Missoula Reviews (3)

Review: When arrived at Lithia toyota to look at a certain vehicle, they said it was no longer available and proceeded to show me a jeep. I told them I saw this online for around 4900.00 and asked them to check the price. The salesman [redacted] pointed to my purse and asked me to check. I told him I did not have a cell phone. When sitting me down the salesman went to the manager and came back saying the listing price was 8995.00. I told him that was much higher than I remember seeing it at, but I was looking at many cars online. He proceeded to tell me that was what the price is and also when I asked how long the jeep was for sale they said 5 days. I placed a transaction for 7499.00 on my credit card.

After a high pressured sales encounter...and besides while leaving the lot where several codes were going off(I was told the car was mechanically sound several times) and the car overheating. I got home and checked the vin of the car and the car was listed at 4956.00. They were very deceptive in advertising and the vehicle blew up on way home...(they came and towed this vehicle back to their Lithia dealership the next morning)...see link...file[redacted]Desired Settlement: A full refund to my credit account.

Review: My husband and I visited Lithia Toyota on December 7th, 2015. We began working with a dealer named [redacted] who showed us the lot's inventory of Toyota Highlanders. Upon finding a vehicle that we liked, we entered into negotiations for a 2015 Toyota Highlander with [redacted] and Sales Manager, [redacted]. Initially, we were told that the dealership would not move from the advertised sticker price, but after further discussion, [redacted] told us "We can probably take off a couple hundred dollars". Our next offer was $600 less than the advertised price. [redacted] went back to talk with [redacted] and returned to tell us that our offer had been accepted with a 3.99% interest rate should we decide to finance with the dealership. My husband and I told [redacted] that if the interest rate were that high, we would prefer to finance with a local credit union with an interest rate of 2.49%. At this point, [redacted] returned to [redacted] to see if the dealership could offer a better interest rate. He asked us if he were able to get our requested interest rate, would we buy the car, today? We told him yes. [redacted] returned a couple minutes later to shake our hands and say "congratulations". He asked that we sign the offer document and told us they would begin processing the financing paperwork. Happy that we got the car at what we felt was a fair price and competitive interest rate, we signed the financing paperwork and left in our new car.

The following day, we reviewed our financing paperwork to find that our document had been prepared with financing for the FULL STICKER PRICE of the car. Sometime during the paperwork process, [redacted], Tim, or possibly financing manager, [redacted]. ** changed the purchase amount from what we offered and were told was accepted, to the advertised price on the car.

After numerous phone calls to Lithia Toyota by both myself and my husband, we have not been offered a resolution. Whenever we asked to talk to a supervisor, we were denied. In fact, it is very rare that a phone call is even returned. Lithia Toyota claims to be what they call a "full disclosure" dealership, but this is obviously not the case. If we are told our offer is accepted at our desired interest rate, this is what was expected as the deal went to contract. Here's my full disclosure: I'm holding [redacted], [redacted], and [redacted] responsible for processing this dishonest, disgusting example of good business practices and quality customer service.Desired Settlement: Lithia Toyota is to issue and mail us a check for $600 to cover the amount we were overcharged for our vehicle no later than Tuesday, December 15th, 2015, which marks one week of us working toward a resolution toward this issue.

Review: I walked in to Lithia and gave them my financial situation, told them my credit score debit ratio, credit history, and highest payments I could afford, knowing that it was less then ideal for looking for a loan. I was told by the dealer that my credit score was all that mattered and that was in the right range. I then proceed to look for an affordable car. When we found one that would "work" for my situation. I gave the salesman permission to run 1 credit report to get the car financed. The sales man assured me that they pull a soft credit report and it would only be one. They ran several reports the day I was in and still almost a month later are still rung new reports. When I call to ask about it they assure me the credit check fall off in 30 days. However [redacted] tells me the inquires are there for 2 years. I have worked hard to repair my credit and now my score is back to crap.Desired Settlement: First I the entire staff of Lithia need to have proper training on how credit works for their clients. Second Lithia needs to call every credit bureau and ensure everyone of the credit inquires are removed from my report. Third cost of repairing credit need to be paid by Lithia.
