November 13, 2015Dear [redacted] ,This will acknowledge receipt of your letter dated November 9, regarding the above referenced matter.On 9/16/we received notice of claim made by the named insuredThe claim was assigned to an adjuster on 9/17/5, who then made contact with the insuredOn 10/12/payment of the claim at Actual Cash Value was issued.Payment was mailed to the insured with a letter of explanation, loss summary and Statement of lossThe claim payment was issued in compliance with the terms and conditions of the policy 3ess the insureds deductible.Multiply e mails were addressed to the insured answering her inquires as to the claim payment process and what she needed to do to recover the withheld depreciation.I have enclosed for your review copies of the correspondence between the insured and the adjuster and between the insured and our office.Please note as of 1/12/we have re addressed the insured claim and offered to settle her claim at replacement cost once she completes the claim inventory in its entirety and re Submits it to the adjuster.Should the insured comply with our request we will have this matter resolved shortly.Sincerely,Thomas SClaim Examiner

December 3, 2015Dear *** ***,Thank you for your supplemental inquiry dated November 25, Please accept this as our response, which follows our previous communication to your office dated November 13, 2015.*** ***'s additional complaint somewhat mirrors her email to the adjusterShannon W*** on November We invite you to review the attached email exchange between *** *** and the adjuster, Shannon W*** and trust you will find itself-explanatory.Please understand that in order for *** *** to recover full replacement cost, she must actually replace the itemsIn this case, *** *** wished to expedite the claim and requested a compromised settlement offer in lieu of replacing her stolen propertyLititz, Mutual is unable to consider *** ***'s original purchase prices on her electronics as the same items may be purchased for a lesser amount today.Should *** *** wish to recover full replacement cost, she will need to comply with the terms of her insurance policy by purchasing the items and presented the receipts to the adjuster so that he may calculate the balance due between the initial allowance and the actually replacement cost.Please do not hesitate to contact me with additional questions or concerns

Customer service is terribleThis is not a company I would recommend to anyone in need of serviceIt took over days to receive a payment after my lossReturning my emails and phone calls took multiple daysPartial payments were mailed, forcing me to wait even longer for the actual full paymentThey conducted an investigation of work done on my homeWork which was not included on my initial claim as it should have beenThe investigation took over days to complete The company covered less than 40% of my estimated cost

I have been covered very well with this carrier for 16 yrs, had VIP status until they had some inspector come look for any property violations, a few weeks later they dropped my vip status because we have a pellet stove fireplace which was installed by professionals and had a permit issued.

I am rejecting this response because:  Lititz mutual for some reason thinks I want the exact amount of money I spent on my original items.  This is not the case, I sent in the replacement paperwork showing how much it will cost me, including tax, to REPLACE THE ITEMS WITH NEW, SIMILAR ITEMS.  They continue to bring up the fact that, as my insurance company, they will give me the replacement money AFTER I have replaced the items.  This is NOT how insurance is supposed to work at all.  I have shown exactly how much the replacement items will cost and exactly where I plan to purchase them, therefore I simply ask for the amount of money I need to replace my items that were stolen.  I have already spoken with a lawyer about this issue and I am confident that I deserve to be treated better and more fair by this company.
