Hello,
We received the complaint from Mr*** today
We received a call saying there had been a leak in his a/c coil which is located in the attic of his homeI came to check it and give him a
price on replacing the A/C, we agreed on a price and I told him I would let him know the earliest date we could do it, due to being caught in an unexpected heat wave we were a little behindI called him back and told him we would start the job Friday morningI gave the parts order the dimensions of his attic, we received a coil from them that would not fit in his attic space, it is very small spaceI let Mr*** know it was my fault we did not receive the right coil because I did not ask them the exact dimensions, I took their word that it would fit because I gave them dimensions I neededWe came back first thing Monday morning and installed the proper A- Coil, he said he would not be available SaturdayMr*** called back later Monday telling me he discovered a piece of insulation on the floor of the bathroomI asked him if there was any insulation blowing out of the vents or if he noticed any dust of any sortHe said no, I told him if he does to let me knowMr*** called back again a few hours later to let me know he discovered water in the basement storage roomI had my technician back at his home within an hourAttached is the photo of the old drain, which we did not replace nor quote him that we would, where it has been duct taped in the pastThere is also obvious signs that there has been water damage for quite some time on the woodHe replaced the broken part of the drain and wiped up all water in the storage room in basementMr*** became irate once I told him I personally could not come out because I was very muddy from working on an outdoor unit in the rainI also personally would not be able to do anything that my technician would not be able to do as wellI do not think simply because we are a small company that the owner has to personally come when there is an issueWe offered to do whatever he wanted to remedy the situation but he was not able to tell me what he wanted us to doThere was no insulation coming out of the vents and there was no obvious water damage for us to cleanI believe it is obvious, by the amount of water and how far the water traveled from the leak (from attic to basement), that the water was from the original leak he discovered, which was on the main story of the homeI would assume that Mr*** simply did not notice that the water had also leaked to the basementI attempted to speak with him further but he hung up and when I called back he hung up againPlease let me know what I need to do further, to remedy the situation
