I paid this business on March 13, 2020 a total of $393.17 in exchange for the service of childcare. On March 19, 2020 they refused to take my daughter due to the COVID-19 pandemic, so my wife just took her home. I tried to take my daughter yesterday which was March 24, 2020. They refused to give me service because they said since my wife isn't working that she needs to be watching our daughter. On March 25, 2020 I phoned Little Amigos and explained to them that due to the situation I will be un-enrolling my daughter from their care. They explained to me that that was fine, but I will not be getting my money back, because I need a two week notice, and they dont have the funds to supply a refund. I explained that the country is in a crisis mode, and that I didn't have a two week notice on COVID-19. They just told me "It certainly is an unfortunate situation." I told them "Fine enjoy my money."
I want to begon by stating that I sincerely apologize for any invonvenience and confusion this may have cause. During thei COVID-19 health pandemic we are givn guidance fromthe Governor and Secretary of State Groginsky and childcare officials, about which children we can provide service for and which children should stay at home. Under the Stay at Home Order from the Governor, if one parent is considered an essential employee and the other is at home, the parent at home must be home with their child.
I understand how you may be upset by this situation as we would be more than happy to have your child attend. However, the Stay at Home is binding and is the Law and we must comply with this order.
It is our policy that parents must give a 2 week written notice to the front office for withdrawal from the center. We try to work with parents, especially during this time to compensate for the time of nonattendance. We will give them a credit on the contract upon return to the center and reserve their place in enrollment. However, I am sure we can fix this for you, we would be more than happy to return the prorated amount since you have decided to disenroll your child.
Again, I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. We enjoyed having your child attend our center and should you choose to return we will be more than happy to serve you.
