Dear [redacted],
I have attached the invoice and statement regarding a service call placed by [redacted] to my office.  My office set up the appointment for a service call to...

check leak to outside hose faucet as stated by Mr. [redacted].  My explanation can be found on the invoice and the service call was on June 12, 2014 with one hourly rate charge.  At that time, he was not home and only Mrs. [redacted] was home.  I did find what was leaking as stated and she did not want anything cut open.  She would speak to her husband and get back to us to make repair.  She asked if we could send bill and we did.  We waited for her to call back and neither her or Mr, [redacted] called back.  I could not predict damages between $5,000 and 8,000 stated by Mr. [redacted]  because I am only a plumber and not an insurance adjuster.  Mr. [redacted] called on 9/4/2014 and told my office he was not paying invoice or interest because we did not do anything, but in his summary and on our invoice it is explained what was done, but again he was not there at time of service.  He did explain that he did get the work done as an insurance claim so the office suggested submitting the invoice.  He told them he would not pay Little B's invoice.
Most homeowners who call for any kind of service are aware that there is a charge.  Charges are not listed on the website because of the different services that are provided and that is why it states to call the office.  He can have his insurance company who handled his claim contact us and we can send them the invoice for payment.
Please feel free to contact me if you have any other questions at ###-###-####.
Sincerely,

Review: During the summer of 2014 we contacted Little B Plumbing to have them come to our house to look at our two outdoor faucets. Both were not working properly. When contacted, there was no mention from Little P Plumbing of a fee for a visit and when the representative came to the house he made no mention of a fee or bill for the visit. The Little B plumber was shown the rear faucet first. He determined that frost probably damaged it and asked to look inside the house behind the wall to see if there was any leaking. He noticed a black spot on the foot of a small wall, some minor swelling on the bottom of the bathroom vanity and felt dampness on the wall behind the toilet and in the closet. He shut off the water valve to that faucet to prevent more damage and looked at the front faucet and agreed it to was damaged, but not in the same way as the rear faucet and posed no leaking risk.

He summarized his findings as a minor faucet repair to the front faucet and substantial damage in the rear of the house due to water damage. He guessed we could be looking at between $5,000 and $8,000 in damage depending on the extent of the damage inside the walls. We asked him to work up 2 quotes, one for the front faucet and one for the rear faucet which would be a bigger and more prolonged process. He left and we never received a quote or a follow up call from him. After a month or more and after the plumbing and repair work was done by a different company we received a bill for $88.35 from Little B Plumbing. We called Little B Plumbing immediately and explained to the company that we had no idea (they never told us verbally or in writing) of there being a fee to just to come out to the house and that they never provided a quote or called to follow up with us after the visit to move the job forward. Again, we were never notified verbally or in writing that there would be a fee for coming to look at our job. The Little B Plumbing company had ample opportunity to quote on the work, but failed to follow up with us. Now, we are receiving a bill each month from Little B. Plumbing for the fee with accruing interest and we do not feel responsible to pay for something when we were not informed about the charge in advance. Additionally a full review of their website makes no mention of a charge for a visit.Desired Settlement: Stop sending us a bill each month with accruing interest for a fee that was never disclosed to us.
