*** *** and his wife came to me to have handprints done for their son when he was five weeks old, did one hand and foot impression and five Christmas ornaments, one of the ornaments was a back up, an extra one as a "just in case" something were to happen to any of the others, I was extremely
forthcoming and upfront with them letting them know that their impressions could break during the firing process and if it did I would redo it at no charge but I would not give a refund, which they agreed to, I was also upfront about the timeframe appropriately 6-weeks as well as the fact that you're dealing with ceramics and anything can happen during the firing processAfter completing the five Christmas ornaments the hand and foot had broke in the last stage of the process I informed The ***' that they needed to bring the baby back in so we could redo it at no charge to themTheir main complaint is that they wanted the original hand and foot at the five-weeks but that was impossible to give that to them because it broke during the processThey came back willingly to take another impression and when they brought him back I gave them the extra Christmas ornament at no charge for the inconvenience of having to redo their order and once their order was done I shipped it to them at no charge which was something that I did as a courtesy so that they wouldn't have to drive all the way back to pick up the hand and foot they received everything they paid for including an additional impression it just was unfortunate that they had to do a replacement/redo -please see the attached text message that I sent them the day we did the original impression was doneI've been in business years and I've never had a complaint with the Revdex.com, and very few complaints in total comparison to how many orders I have hadI was very upfront with them about the fact that things can happen when you're dealing with ceramics and if something did I would gladly redo their order which I did in addition to giving them an extra ornament at no charge as well as shipping it to them free of chargeOn a personal note, I have done many babies that pass away and in the grand scheme of things the events that transpired are yes, disappointing but not the end of the world and that is one of the reasons why I don't give refunds, there has been at least times in my career where while the print is still on the table in my workshop the baby passes away for various reasons-and while they're both entitled to their opinion both *** and his wife are leaving me duplicate bad reviews on every media possible Facebook, yelp, Revdex.com etc...which at this point I feel is no longer reviews but vindictive and spiteful.
