Dear Revdex.com As the [redacted] of Little Convenience Store, we are sorry that this incident occurred as our current system charges the customer the initial amount on the debit card instead of the final amount at the pump after the consumer is finished pumping gasUnfortunately, our current credit/debit card processing system does not allow us to refund the amount back to the consumer's card after the initial purchase After this incident occurred we have posted signage stating our store policy on refunds for debit/credit cards Our story policy is as follows: if a customer is charged the incorrect amount on their debit/credit card for fuel purchases, we ask that they bring in a copy of their transaction history highlighting the date, time, and amount charged for the transaction in questionIf the information is correct a cash refund will be provided to the consumer The incident that occurred was handled poorly and we hope that the consumer can come in to pick up her cash refund as soon as possibleIt is the responsibility of the store [redacted] to hand the cash refund only and we apologize for the inconvenience Sincerely [redacted] ***

Unfortunately, our current credit/debit card processing system does not allow us to refund the amount back to the consumer's card after the initial purchase. 
 
After this incident occurred we have posted signage stating our store policy on refunds for debit/credit cards.

Review: On October 31, 2014 at approximately 4:30 pm I stopped by Little Convenience Store to purchase gas for my vehicle. I walked in asked for $25.00 worth of gas on my debit card, I proceeded to the pump to pump the gas the pump clicked off at $20.47 I continued to pump gas into the tank until it reached $22.00. I went back into the store to get the refund and was told that they do not give refunds, I asked for something that would satisfy the balance and was told that they do not give refunds and that I need to take it up with my credit card company. I called my financial institution and was told that I need to come in and dispute the charges. There are no signs posted regarding no refunds given on debit cards, and no other recourse to satisfy the refunds.Desired Settlement: I know the dollar amount is small but if this is the practice of this business the public needs to be notified. Signage posted that is large enough for the public to notice would be appreciated, or cash only transaction for the unsuspected consumer.
