While caring for the owners dog there indeed was a horrible accident in which the small dog was able to dig his way out of my very large fenced yard, while I was outside with him, at night and lost sight of him for only a few momentsI spent too long searching for him within the yard
while he wondered into the streetHe was tragically hit and killed by a carNO SPECIFIC INSTRUCTIONS WERE LEFT WITH ME ABOUT TAKING HIM OUTSIDE ON A LEASH! Had there been, he absolutely would have been on the leash! I do have proof of all written instructions left with meAdditionally I was contacted recently by the owner, *** *** and asked for monetary compensation (in addition to a full refund of the deposit given) which I gladly paid. I do not take this occurrence lightly at all and additional safe guards were immediately put into place in the days followingWhile this is a devastating accident in which a beloved pet lost his life, it was just that, an accidentPlease either call or respond via email to advise me of the next steps that can or will be takenI do not believe that in someone's grief they can go back and change the facts of what really happened in order to place blame. Review: We utilized this business which advertises one on one , undivided attention, pet sitting and boarding services to board our dog during the preceding 2014 Christmas Holiday. Specific pet care instructions were left with the establishment on Dec. **, 2014 including the dog's harness and leash for walking him. While in the care of the establishment, the dog was lost in the establishments'backyard on Dec. **, 2014. Our dog was later found by the business owner in the street - hit by a motor vehicle and killed.Desired Settlement: Inform other potential clients of this establishment of our horrific experience when we entrusted our beloved dog in this establishment's care.
