Denied refund after Company cancelled my Daughters 5th birthday
One of the worse experiences I've ever had. While all this Corona Virus issue is taking place I scheduled to have my daughters birthday party March 21 but got a call March 20th stating the facility had to close down due to restrictions...which is fine I completely understand them taking this approach. I called to ask for a refund because I ended up spending funds saved to stock up on food and essentials. I was told I can only be issued a credit which I do not want. They can keep the $195 and put it towards customer service courses because they clearly have no training on how to dal with customers during a crises. Terrible company and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.
I want my money refunded for the services that were not provided.

Please note that Little Princess Spa is a franchise, meaning that are many different stores in different locations. All stores are individually owned by different franchisees.
This customer's complaint was placed under my store name, however I do not have this person as a client from Little Princess Spa Pembroke Pines.
This is a request and also a polite demand to remove this complaint from under my store name and location.
Please ask the client for a receipt proof to show you which location did he book his daughter party for March 21,2020. I can assure you it was not Little Princess Spa Pembroke Pines.
Once again I do not have any defense argument to reply here as this is NOT my client nor has ever been a client of Little Princess Spa Pembroke Pines.
Once again please remove the complaint from my business record.

We were ready and willing to perform your party as scheduled. We had prepared for the new reality due to COVID-19 by intruducing new safety measures. Unfortunately on Friday 03/20/2020 we were ordered to shutdown operations and close the business. As we absolutely understand the frustration of having your party cancelled and the inconvenience it may have caused, we also would like for you to understand that this was an umpresidented situation and the desicion to cancel your party was not made by us. It was a state wide order that we had no other choice but to follow. In regards to your deposit, we make it absolutely clear that all deposits are non refundable. This is a long standing company policy and absolutely normal in the party and events business model. The non refund policy is stated live on the phone before you're charged and it's also in writing within your invoice agreement. In the other hand, if there is a medical issue or other qualifying major event preventing the party from happening we will issue a credit in the full amount of the deposit and the party can be rescheduled at a later date. A state wide shutdown qualifies as a major event preventing the party from happening therefore we offered a credit in the full deposit amount and an option to reschedule at a preferred date.

As a company your main priority should be to have a satisfied customer. I expressed to the lady I spoke on the phone with since the party was cancelled due to the current crisis can I please be issued a refund to be be able to purchase groceries for my house hold instead of a forced credit. But they were more worried about holding my deposit which at that point became voided due to the circumstances. They have lost a possible life long customer because they wanted to be greedy. I will not accept a forced credit for a service I no longer need as I am worried about taking care of bills right now. They can keep the $195 and add it to the Small business check I'm sure they will get from the government.
