Review: Billing information not kept current, complained we paid weekly instead of monthly, confused by weekly payments, did not provide invoices or ledgers, unprofessional [redacted]ship.According to the [redacted] the tuition was increased August of 2012, we were not notified of this increase. The balance as of 8-*-13 was 594.49. My wife had a meeting and the balance was verbally changed to 355.49. [redacted] was to speak with [redacted] as [redacted] makes all decisions, [redacted] refused to speak to my wife or me regarding this matter. [redacted]) told [redacted] to call my wife, tell her that either she pays the entire balance NOW $219.49 on Monday when the children were dropped off or don't come back. Why 355.49 down to 219.49????On Monday 8/**/13 we provided a credit card to pay this so called balance, because the daycare is holding $410 dollars per child in deposits (totaling $820.00). We were left with no choice as to pay so we did not loose the deposit. The balance on the ledger as of 8/**/13 stated $179.49...we were charged 219.49, $40.00 more that what is noted on ledger currently. I went to pick up my kids on [redacted] and took a picture of the balance on the computer as it stated WE were owed $40.00 for over payment.I have repeatability requested to have a meeting with [redacted] and director to rectify this issue as to keep our children there because of the staff, they are so terrific with our children.in closing, we were never notified of an increase from a year ago, we were never given an invoice showing a balance, nor given a verbal notification there was a balance. The [redacted] failed to do their books correctly. We paid every week in advanced...if there were an issue they could have informed us any day we were there to pick up our kids or when dropping them off. we have photos of the ledger on the computer showing balances and amounts paid confirming the above. [redacted] refuses to address this issue and only communicates through her office staff.Desired Settlement: we aren't really convinced that these charges are in fact real, since the numbers were never consistent, however our payments throughout our involvement have been on time and never challenged. We had no other choice but to pay the amount owed or be extorted for $820.00 We would like our 219.49 back or at the very least the $40.00 overpayment as it now states. We are currently seeking a new qualified daycare and may need to be off work until one can be found.Refund Please!!!

I am responding on behalf of [redacted], an employee of Little Rascals Child Care.

[redacted]’s complaints we find to be unfounded. He has addressed our office regarding his balance and unfortunately was not happy about the response he received from both the [redacted] of the facility and the [redacted] and is reaching out to you. We bill our customers either on a weekly basis or a monthly basis depending on the program they are enrolled in. Sometimes to accommodate special requests by our customers, we bill weekly or monthly to meet their needs. Each of our customers are aware that the balance appears in the time clock that they use daily to check their children in and out of the center upon drop off and pick up, and to please see the office should there be any discrepancies from their records. We have maintained a fairly lenient policy with our parents who have unpaid balances where we still offer them the opportunity to attend even though their tuition is in arrears. [redacted]’s balance represented unpaid tuition where it appears they neglected to pay the correct amount on a weekly basis which accumulated to a balance he is speaking of. His claim that he was not aware of the tuition increase is inaccurate, as every other customer at the center seemed to have received this notification. We post this notification in the same time clock he uses to check his children in and out of the center each day, we display all notifications in the lobby on an easel, we also display a copy on the parent boards located in the classrooms and in the lobby and finally we distribute hard copies in the children’s mail boxes. I believe we have done our part in making him more than aware of the tuition increase he claims he was unaware of. Upon receiving notification of termination from the center, all customers are required to pay all remaining balances in full, after their deposit is applied to ensure that we receive all our money or their children may not attend. Unfortunately this policy was a business decision that was made to alleviate the problem that we have had in collecting balances from customers once they left the center.

I asked him several times to communicate with me via email as he spent over an hour with [redacted] requesting a refund which we felt was unjustified. He has been rude and insulting to the staff and we have remained nothing but professional responding with a denial to his repeated requests for a refund he is not entitled to. He account does show a $40 credit which he was told would be refunded the [redacted] of September as this is when we process our refunds.

It appears that the continued miss management is continuing. I've had multiple conversation with [redacted] non of which were disrespectful or rude. I have tried numourous times to contact [redacted], whom wishes not to discuss the matter and only deflects responsibility to her director. This business is not one of Internet base and has never been conducted via email. If the use of email was in fact used this matter would have never been.

We were not aware of the additional 5 dollars a month, the issue is not the payment of the 5dollars, it's the issue that this business can it keep their records straight. For over a year they were accepting our weekly payments with no mention of a balance.

After reviewing our records and payments the balance is owed is 130.00. The reason for this is that our son was no longer part of the two year old program and the tuition is 160.00 per week, we had paid 410.00 as. Deposit. so the deposited amount for the two week tuition was over paid by an additional 90.00. 2 x 160.00 = 360.00 - 410.00 = 90.00.

3 plus years with two children attending with the potential of another 3 years plus for two children pushed away for the miss management of their books... Bad business decisions are apparent and confirmed.

I never received a response to my email or phone calls requesting our refund...

The goal

I would like to move on and not have to deal with such Unprofessionalism. Just issue our credit and take care, thank you.

At this time, I have NOT been contacted directly by Little Rascals Child Care Learning Center regarding complaint ID [redacted], I have received a check for 90.00, however my complaint has NOT been fully resolved because:

They have sent me a check for $90.00 but not for the remaining $40.00. In previous message it explained that there was a credit due for the deposit over paid by 90.00 plus the original 40.00 that was also over paid. Total due was 130.00.

I have called the office and spoke with [redacted]. She doesn't know what's happening and said she will check into why it wasn't paid.

They cannot get their books straight. [redacted] still has neglected to be professional and respond to me. At this point I am putting a claim with my credit card company to disput the 40.00 not paid.

I would jus rather be paid the remaining balance and move on. Thank you.
