I made an agreement with the business owner to remove old red mulch and
replace with dark brown mulch. He had worker to come out to do the work
and the red mulch was not properly removed. You can take your and remove
the brown mulch and see the red mulch that was left behind. The owner
never came out to inspect the quality of the work performed by his staff.
When I mentioned it to him he stated he didn't need me trying to tell him
how to do his job. I have contacted the owner on several occasions and he
has still not rectified the problem. I paid him $100 to remove the old
red mulch and $200 to replace with the dark brown mulch. He also stated
that he can't help what the birds do to the mulch, I replied that the birds
has nothing to do with the red mulch left behind. Bottom line he is not

red mulch.Business Response Chocolate mulch was delivered and installed at Mr. [redacted]'s home on 4/1/16. He complained almost a month later, on 4/26/16, about damage done to his mulch by birds or squirrels. I explained to him that we do not warranty mulch wear or destruction from animals but, we always stand by our work so a company representative was sent out to inspect the issue. Upon arrival it was discovered that there was a small hole that had been dug in the landscape bed. It was more than likely caused by a squirrel or possibly a bird or other animal. Our company representative then filled the hole back and brushed some clean mulch over the area. Mr. [redacted] then called a few days later and complained about another hole. He was very rude when he called back. I explained to him again that we do not warranty animal damage to mulch. He continued to be very rude. Mr. [redacted] was incorrect in his complaint statement about his charges and what he paid for. He was charged $147 for mulch, $150 for delivery, and was not charged for some landscape rock that we installed. We installed the rock at no charge since he was a new customer. I have pictures of the completed job and can email them on request. Consumer Response In response to little river landscape I was neverrude always professional in speech and representation. I did not wait for a month to contact him. And he should have came out himselfto identify the problem and not sent one of hisworkers. A bird scratching the top of the mulchor me raking my hand over the top of the installedmulch should not reveal the old red mulch. Thisonly means his worker did not remove all the redmulch. I was charged $200 for mulch, and $100 toremove the old mulch. I have on several attemptsask mister smith to give me a receipt for the workhe done and have not received one yet. I can onlyspeculate the reason why I have not received areceipt is to bring to question my integrity ofthe true cost. He is correct about there were nocharge for the river rock. If Mr, [redacted] wouldconsult with me prior to coming to my house whichhis worker did not do when inspecting the problemI would be more than accommodating to assist himin identifying the problem.
