Review: My Daughter was enrolled at Little saints for 5 month with no issues at all. There had never been a time we were told of any issues with her. I came to pick her up 5-29 to find out there had been an accident and my daughter had fallen down the stairs I was told she tripped which happens didnt think much of it. The following morning when my husband arrived to drop her off we recieved a notice of termination due to what the provider stating as a scheduling conflict. They advised they were not longer going to be accepting part time care. The following day we started looking for new child care only to run across many ads from little saints online advertising for part time care. The daycare center was then closed to due illness on friday june 7th I reiceved a call at 7am when they infact open at 7 am stating they would be closed. I find this unacceptable for a business but went on with my day and found back up care. Tuesday the 11th the center was closed for a planned dr appt so that evening I messages the owner [redacted] asking if they would be opened on Wed June 12th for my daughter to come and be cared for she replied and advised me yes. The following morning my husband showed up and the same time he showed up every morning 10:30am to drop off my daughter to find a closed sign on the door. He and I both called the location numerous times to have the phone go straight to voicemail. He didnt know what else to do so he went home. When he got home I sent a text message to [redacted] the woner advising I wanted a refund for today and for tomororw as I was not notified that daycare was closed today. At this point she replied back to me stating the center was open and she did have kids in care and a refund would not be issued. I explained to her my husband was there outside and they sign said closed and she was not answering her business phone during business hours and think this was very intentional on her part and I feel this was her way of getting my child out of her care sooner I was never given a reason for my child to be asked to leave except that part time was no linger offered which I have supporting evidence this is not true. I want a refund for the 2 days of care I was denied. yes she states she was open and per the contract I have to pay. I dont feel she was open with a closed sign and not answering the phoen and I was not going to drive back across town an hour later to bring my child back after my husband already called into work due to no child care.Desired Settlement: I want a refund for my two days of service as the first day we were unable to drop her off at scheduled time due to closed sign and no answer at the company phone when we called SEVERAL times. after all the episodes prior to this and the response we got from [redacted] the owner I didnt want to bring my child back for the last day of care to see whatelse was going to happen. I am only asking for the last 2 days to be returned as she made is VERY difficult to use her days care

Respond to Complaint submitted by Mrs. [redacted]

I the provider and owner of Little Saints Childcare have read the information in the the complaint submitted by Mrs. [redacted].

Her daughter [redacted] was enrolled on 15 Feb 2013 and by the parents choosing left care on 12 June 2013.

The tripping incident that was mentioned my Mrs. [redacted] occurred on 28 May 2013 at approximately 11:14 am, was documented per regulations and parent ( Mrs. [redacted]) was notified per regulation/WAC. Parent acknowledged the incident and signed the report. This is the only incident for [redacted] while enrolled at Little Saints Childcare. See attached form: Childcare injury/Incident Report.

The Mrs. [redacted] was spoken to at various times during her daughters enrollment regarding possible changes that Little Saints Childcare may undergo regarding ages of children accepted, schedules of enrollments and other matters relating to Early Achievers and state WACS.

Initially this families enrollment was for part time care four days a week with hours of 9:00am - 4:00pm Tuesday - Friday. In March 2013 Mrs. [redacted] notified me asking if her daughter could attend at 8:30 on Tuesdays as the family had a schedule change. I was able to accommodate this request at that time. During the next several months including March, April and May 2013 the family had exceeded the part time schedule of 25 hours per week as Mr. [redacted] was dropping [redacted] off at various times other than that which was agreed upon in the contract and child care agreement. On 22 May 2013 Mr. [redacted] agreed to and signed a new childcare agreement stating the hours of care 10:30am - 4:00pm, four days a week - No Mondays.

Notification of Termination for the [redacted] family was given on 30 May 2013, with the last day of care being 13 June 2013( 2 weeks notice) for the reason of their part time schedule being one that my business could no longer support due to the arrival times. The termination notice given to the [redacted] family states the reason for termination as: Other - Schedule changes. Not Part time care ending. As Mrs. [redacted] states in her complaint, the family was told termination was based on "scheduling conflict" not that part time care would no longer be accepted.

Part time care is offered at Little Saints Childcare if children are in care each day eight hours / 25 hours a week.

7 June 2013 Little Saints Childcare was closed due to the owner/ provider being unexpectedly ill. As stated in the business contract page 4, Vacation time and Staffing -
