Per phone conversation with Revdex.com: Consumer and Champion Fence did not have a written contract; Champion Fence hired only to install fence postsChampion received payment for the materials and they were delivered to the consumerThe consumer was advised she needed to mark where they were steel posts, however they did not do this and in the middle of the job, his auger bit snapped The company advised that the consumer was upset over the delay due to the equipment breaking The consumer then put a stop payment on the check for the materials that she received and due to the hostility, Champion no longer wishes to have a business relationship with the consumer They also stated that for the work that was started, they were not paid

Per Phone conversation with Jeff C***: Company states that they will not refund the consumer and that the $deposit was for materials He advised that the consumer told him he would finish the job himself and that he did not want him on the property

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
Jeff C*** accepted a down payment to install the fence postsThe materials that were delivered, were paid for, and the stopped check was paid for as wellThose materials were not part of the job he was hired to doThey were extra materials for another fence that he offered to buy with his Home Depot accountThe 120' of fence posts that he was hired to install, were never installedNot once in any conversation did he suggest that he was not going to finish the jobHe made excusesThere was no hostility, only anger due to work not being done after money paid"I ordered a new bit", "the bit is too small", "I'm at another job" (*** said otherwise) His most recent broken commitment was slated to be done on Tuesday of last week"I promise I will be there to finish on Tuesday"He advised that morning of the 27th that he'd be over in a couple hours, after he finishes a jobMore excuses, more broken commitmentsNo materials, and no job done, and we are out almost $A dishonest and inexcusable representation of a businessmanA canceled check and a quote with amount paid, doesn't suffice as being hired to do a job???

Response taken over the phone by Revdex.com Staff:
Company has addressed the matter; he advised that the work was delayed due to the weather conditions Due to the constant rain in the area, the project was delayed However, they were able to complete the project, and waived the $
labor fee to compensate for the delay

3 points I would like to make.1)  The front top part of the shed has not been painted.2)  The side of the shed as you will see in a couple of the pictures are different colors showing that part of it has been painted and part of it has not which includes the wood that was to be replaced.3) None of the 4  corner posts/panels were replaced.  Jeff with Champion Fence had previous advised that he had cut them too short and needed to re-do them, however, he never came back to replace the corner posts/panels.  In addition because the panels/posts were not replaced--the one side of the shed is now starting to lean in from the left side.  (Not sure if the leaning in shows in the pictures or not)I t[redacted] 9 pictures of the shed to try to show you all sides.

2/7/18 Telephone response obtained from the company as follows: The company stated it is impossible to lock the gate from the inside as the gate is built from the outside, the only way to change this is to rotate the gate. The company stated the gate is about 30 years old and rotating it is not an option. The company stated they are still willing to come an address the screw on their time because it is not a safety issue as the consumer has small dogs and where the screw is at, the dogs cannot reach.

The following statements are from Champion Fence and are false! The company stated it is "impossible to lock the gate from the inside as the gate is built from the outside, the only way to change this is to rotate the gate." The company stated "the gate is about 30 years old and rotating it is not an option." The company stated they are still willing to come an address the screw on their time because it is not a safety issue as the consumer has small dogs and where the screw is at, the dogs cannot reach." 1. We HAD a lock on the inside of the gate. If it is impossible to install then why we were told by the owner of Champion Fence. "I ordered a new lock and I'm waiting for it to come in."    Why did the owner of this co. keep telling us he'd come over and exchange the lock for the one that we asked for when he quoted this job if in fact  it was "Impossible to lock from the      inside?"2. We have 3 dogs which include a Boxer who can most certainly reach the expose screw!
