I could see how some of the marketing that could be used would be by a third party.  I would suggest that they check how they get their sales leads and verify that those third party lead vendors are not involved in these marketing practices.

Hello; I would like to respond to the message below. We were told that there was absolutely no “on call” tech service staff to help a customer on a long 3 day weekend. We were never told that anyone could help us. The statement below is absolutely not true and is there attempt to cover their bottom. Every time we talk with this company by phone they tell us a different story. Our alarm went off again this Sunday and we were told we needed to replace another battery in our family room. When we tried to do this, we found the this sensor was not even battery powered but instead attached to our electrical system. Once again (as recent as this past weekend), we were once again told there was no “service call” folks available on the weekend. We asked that our system be place on “test” but the beeper keep going off on our end and we were told by that person that the beeper could not be turned off from their end.  Luckily, our son is a computer engineer and figured out how to turn off the beeper 2 hours later (these beepers drive you crazy after awhile). Honestly, my son knows more about their alarm system than their weekend staff knows about the system. This lack of training is bad enough but a company that lies is not acceptable to us. It is absolutely ridiculous that this alarm company has not service representatives on the weekends or holidays. This was definitely not a miscommunication between Safeguard and us but false advertising (on their website) that they have 24/7 coverage when they do not. I am absolutely appalled that they have an “A+” rating with the Revdex.com.  As for us, we cancelled all our service with this company yesterday afternoon but our alarm beeper went off twice last night and luckily our son told us how to turn it off.  Even though we want to be totally rid of this company, they don’t even seem to know how to cut off our service. If you look on Yelp you will see that this company has many complaints very similar to others about the lack of weekend coverage and high rates for service calls.  This is one of the worst companies I have ever dealt with in my life. We reviewed the phone conversation between the client and our employees.  On on Sunday February 19thour afterhours dispatchers attempted to walk Mr. [redacted] through changing the battery, Mr. [redacted] asked for someone that had experience with changing batteries, the employee advised that there...

wasn’t anyone in the office that could assist him and Mr. [redacted] ended the call.  The next step would have been to get the on call tech (our 24 hour service person) involved however we were not given the chance when the call was ended. Mr. [redacted] called us back to inform us that he was able to find the video on our website to change the video, giving our employee step by step instructions on how to find the video and asking if we learned a lesson.  Mr. [redacted] then disconnected the call. We believe this was a miscommunication between the customer and Safeguard, when the phone calls were disconnected by the customer we were unable to assist him completely. We provided 1 free month of monitoring to Mr. [redacted] as a resolution to his complaint.
