Around February 2013 I was looking into doing a bankruptcy and as I was exiting the freeway I came across a cardboard sign that said "Bankruptcy for $699.00". I immediately contacted the law firm by phone and they gave me an appointment for February 26th 2013. That same day (February 26th 2013) I spoke with Oliver and he explained the bankruptcy procedure and the cost. He said it would cost $1,175 and that I could pay for that in installments, of however much I could pay. He said not to worry about the payments and just to pay as much as I could and that meanwhile they would get started with the process. I gave $100 as down payment and had a balance to pay off of: $1075.00. The contract did not include a date in which the amount should be paid off. I never had contact with Raymond Liu although he was the attorney who signed the contract. I continued to go to Raymond Liu's office to make payments and check on the status of my case and spoke frequently to Francisco. Who would always say that they were working on the case and had me constantly bringing him paystubs, statements of accounts etc.
I paid off the amount due of $1075 on February 15th 2014. After that I was asked to pay and extra $350 for amendments and reaffirmation on August 9th 2014, and Francisco continued to say that it they were still working on my case. I was also told to pay $65 for a class certification around the end of 2014, I paid however, I never attended any class and was not given any information on when or where that took place.
I started feeling anxious as it was almost 2 years and at this point still didn't have a case number and it seemed as if nothing was being done for me. I continued to come to Raymond Liu's office and to ask but the answer was always the same, "We are still working on it". On May 12, 2015 I came once again to ask and was told by Francisco that I needed to pay once again for the Certification class, so I paid $65.00 and I asked him when and where I should do that. He said that they would call me so that I could come to the office to watch a video, because that is what the class was. But I never received a call to see such video.
Some time in 2015 (around July) I went once again to ask about my case and spoke to Francisco who this time said that they had just submitted about 35 cases to the court and that mine was one of them, to just wait. Around September 2015 I went again to follow up and this time Francisco said something different. Now he was saying that they were still checking for some documents needed. When confronted by my questioning about why he had said that it was submitted to the court when he in fact had my file there, he simply said that he just needed to check the file again. So I waited and finally after not hearing from them I called on January 2016 and Francisco answered the phone and said that due to the holidays they were not organized and that they were behind so he needed to check the file again. That was the last time they answered my phone call. Ever since I have been constantly calling and calling and I get no answer. Recently the phone was changed and I had no way to get a hold of them. I decided to go to the office and came to find that they had moved. I went online to try to find Raymond and he was no where to be found. After repeatedly calling and calling for a week, Raymond Liu picked up the phone he was absolutely rude and refused to give his new address. I was only able to get the address after threatening to submitt a complaint to the California Bar. I went in to demand a refund and they accepted not filing the case at all, however, they said they will do the breakdown of their fees foe working on the file, although there is not even a case number. This place is no longer a lawfirm they dissapeared anything pertaining to that. (Shady!) now they are AFFLUENT STAFFING, located at 13132 Garden Grove Blvd. Ste A, Garden Grove Ca 92843

Review: I FILED FOR BANKRUPTCY WITH MY HUSBAND, OUR PAPERWORK STATED THAT WE WOULD HAVE AN ATTORNEY PRESENT US AT OUR COURT APPEARANCE AND NO ONE SHOWED UP AND THE FIRM LEFT US WITH OUT AN ATTORNEY. AFTER COURT I CALLED THE LAW FIRM AND AS OF TODAY AUGUST 24, 2015 NO ONE HAS CALLED ME BACK NOR SENT ME ANY INFORMATION IN THE MAIL, AS OF WHAT TO EXPECT NEXT WITH OUR CASE. WE PAID $ 1,500.00 CASH MONEY AND WE DIDN'T GET WHAT WE PAID FOR.Desired Settlement: WE WOULD LIKE A REFUND OF THE MONEY THAT WE PAID, AS WE'RE LOOKING FOR AN ATTORNEY TO FINISH UP OUR CASE AND INSTRUCT US WHAT TO DO NEXT.

Review: My husband paid this attorney $2099.00 in 2011, for them to process a bankruptcy case. We have a copy of the contract and receipts for all the payments. Once paid, they told him to bring specific information, check stubs, etc. He gave him all the information. Then he was told to pay 60.00 for some required credit counseling class, he did and he was told to come to the office to take the course, and he did. This all took place in 2011. They kept dragging his case and never did anything. Finally my husband went back and was told that they were sending his paperwork, he trusted them. However, nothing was ever filed, and as a result, there are liens on our house now. And this is how we discovered that nothing was ever done. I happened to run a report on my house and I discovered the liens. We went back to this office and spoke to a [redacted] there, he would not let us talk to anyone, the attorney is NEVER available and if he is [redacted] did not allow us to see him. [redacted] said the only time we would see an attorney is when the package is ready to filed. Now we had submitted new checks stubs and wage reports as the ones from 2011 are too old per [redacted]. This is causing a lot of stress and just thinking on how many more liens will be coming our way. [redacted] told us that if my husband takes his name off the title, it's fraud and he would have to wait 3 years to file for bankruptcy. Please understand we are not bankruptcy professionals. We trusted this law firm to take care of our issue because of that reason. Nothing has been done. They keep going around and around. They don't return emails, they have never ever called my husband for absolutely nothing. They just took our money and did not provide any service. Please tell me what we need to do to get justice here.Sometimes I wonder if this attorney really exists. We have never seen him. $2099.00 is a lot of money to lose, in this economy especially. [redacted] said there is no refunds.Desired Settlement: They need to file his bankruptcy asap, no additional fees are due. they also need to clear the liens on my house, it is their fault and fraudulent ways that these liens are there. I paid them 3 years ago and to this date they just took my money and have not done anything. They dont allow me to speak with anyone, especially [redacted], he will not allow me to speak to anybody else there. They are probably doing this to more people. In the proof of payments I'm sending to you, I'm missing one recpt
