We hired Live Oak Landscaping (owner [redacted] ) to construct an extensive outdoor space in our backyardThe space included a large paver patio, outdoor kitchen, fire pit, and flower bedsWhile the guys that did the work were great, the owner of the company has little to no communication skillsOn multiple occasions we told [redacted] what we wanted done, he would agree, but never pass the info to his crewThis lead to multiple delays as a number of time consuming portions of the project had to be redoneThe result being a week project, as we were quoted at the beginning, ended up taking close to monthsThe one area that we are really dissatisfied with is the repair to our yard that was done at the end of the projectAt least 3/of our grass needed to be replaced after the construction was completeWe asked that [redacted] match the existing grass, which is a type of ZoysiaWe repeatedly told [redacted] that we weren't sure which type of Zoysia it was, but we could call the landscaper that had layed it originally [redacted] told us that as a professional landscaper he knew what sod needed to be put down, and he didn't need us to confirm anythingWhen the sod was installed we immediately told [redacted] that it didn't look like the same grassIt did not match the existing sod(Wrong color, light green versus dark green and wrong blade, wide versus fine)We were then told not to worry, it was new sod, it was dormant, and it needed a growing season to "blend" with the original sodHalf way thru the growing season it was quite apparent that the sod [redacted] laid was not the same as the existing sodWe had three professional landscapers come to our house to take a look, and within minutes they all told us the same thingLive Oak Landscaping had laid the wrong type of ZoysiaThey put down Meyer, when the grass we had was EmeraldFurthermore these landscapers stated it was not a mistake any "professional" landscaper would makeThe two types of Zoysia will NEVER blend together, and will always look differentWe repeatedly tried to discuss this with [redacted] with no successThe one time I got him on the phone he said he would come up with a plan to fix the problem, but never called me backI called multiple times, and was always told he would return my call, I am still waitingWe even wrote a letter to him and sent it registered mail, he refused to sign for it and it was returned to usWhen we hired [redacted] I told him that I wanted this job done professionally, and he said his company was the one for the jobObviously that's not trueWE WOULD NOT RECOMMEND HIRING LIVE OAK LANDSCAPING!!

The result being a 6 week project, as we were quoted at the beginning, ended up taking close to 8 months.
