Review: On last year, I was referred to Tech Live for technical services for my computer. Technical services told me that I had a virus and I was charged $599.99 to repair and complete these services and entered into a 3 year contract. Two/Three months later I received a phone call from Tech Live reporting there was new activity on my computer that was suspicious. I was then introduced to ACS to offer network support for $799.99. Some months later I became suspicious of this activity and call Dell Support who transferred me to another tech support and he informed me that there was no security on my computer and of course attempted to sell me some for $399.99. I phoned Tech Live back and reported this to them. They convinced me that the new technician is in error. Around Jan/Feb, 2014, I had opportunity to contact them for a minor computer problem. Again I was assured of computer security. March, 2014 more concerns with my computer led to call another company who once again informed me that my computer was not optimized nor secure. I attempted on several time to contact Tech Live with no results. To get the problem resolved on my security, I paid another company to do what Tech Live and ACS did not do.Desired Settlement: I would like to get a refund on all monies paid.

Review: On 10/22/2013 I attempted to contact support for MSN.com I accidentally called this business thinking they were MSN support. I even asked them if they were and [redacted] said yes. I was having a problem with homepage with MSN. The tech requested access to my computer in order to fix it. I permitted it. He then told me the drivers in my computer had quit working due to incompatibly of virus software. He said the entire system was impacted. I "purchased" their services to repair this issue and that only a Microsoft 35 tech could do the repair. I was also told they have 24/7 support, that I would have Windows 8 support. Their intent was to remove my functioning Webroot anti virus software and the Norton free trial which had never been initiated. They thy would install a Windows security software. It took about 7 hours to complete the transfer of files x2 and scanning x2. They called me to let me know that the service was completed. [redacted] became short with me and I told him to settle down at one point. They did nothing to setup the homepages as I requested, there was no evidence they had installed any software. I tried for well over 1 hour to get the 24/7 support and call was never answered, nor was the online support available. When they contacted me today to see if the repair had worked, I told them it did not. Another person talked to me and kept saying he could fix it. He also wanted me to speak to [redacted] again. I relayed my complaints to the person who had called me and questioned the competence and training of the company workers. I told him they were a scam and I denied them access to my computer. He started to talk to me abusively and I hung up. Next, [redacted] called back and I told him he had lied to me, etc. He said "You are stupid" and I hung up. Immediately after that I got another call which I did not answer. He said they were cancelling all my services and that the computer would be returned to its previous state. I'm not sure how except they must have retained access.Desired Settlement: I reported the scam to my credit card company and cancelled my card. They said they were calling it fraudulent. It initially appears that I will not be charged, however I am suspicious of Live Tech's truthfulness after my experience with them. What I want is for this information to be available so that others are not scammed the way I was. In addition, I do not want any harassment from them.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 9773687, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. I did indicate that no compensation was necessary and do not plan to utilize the service.

Review: This company which goes by various names, Expert Squad, Egeek, Nano Tech, Live Tech Squad, is a bogus group. I found their phone number online listed as MSN tech support. On 1/15/14 I called ###-###-#### because I had trouble with my MSN email account. They told me they needed to look at my computer remotely. Since I thought they were MSN, I allowed it. They told me I had Trojans on my computer & they infected everything. It would cost me $269 for them to remove & restore my computer but it would include 2yrs of support. I gave them my Discover credit card & paid for the service. I found out they were not with MSN or even contracted by MSN. When I asked them, they told me their name was Expert Squad. I watched technitians work on my computer remotely. I know enough about computers to know they did a lot of nothing on my computer. They called to tell me it was going to cost me another $125 for what they did. At that point, I cancelled the service & wanted my money back. They would only refund $125. I have Discover looking into getting the rest of the money back for me. I also brought my computer into a local shop. They removed 2 Trojans & cleaned up my computer from what this company did. That cost me another $97. I think they should be looked into. Thank you. [redacted]Desired Settlement: I have Discover looking to get the rest of my money back from this bogus group. I thought it wouldn't hurt to have someone else help with the issue. I'm sure they've done this to others that don't report it. They need to know this is unethical of them. I should get a full refund from them.

At this time, I have not been contacted by Live Tech Squad 247 LLC regarding complaint ID 9909721.

I also had asked them for a copy of the terms & conditions of their service (see attachment). I never received anything.

I attached a copy of the invoice from the computer service I paid $97.50. DAKtronic fixed my computer after Live Tech made improper changes to it.

This company uses numerous names, including (besides Live Tech Squad): Nanotech, Expert Squad, Egeek. They are a scam. The phone numbers I have for them are ###-###-#### & ###-###-#### & email F[redacted]

If you need to call me my phone is ###-###-####. Thank you.
