I was charged a random annual fee that was not discussed during the signup process They say it's in the "contract" but my wife nor I never signed a contract of any sort My wife called and signed up over the phone and then later added myself over the phone We were never mailed any contract nor does one exist online There is no corporate headquarters as these are all franchises Fitness does not have any way to contact them directly so as to not have to handle complaints, obviously
We then canceled our membership on the 21st of June We get a charged for a full month for both of us on 7/for another month of membership Their excuse is that we have to give days notice to cancel So essentially we have a membership through 8/that we are not using that they are getting paid for
Again there was NO CONTRACT provided or signed and no terms were given verbally either There is also nowhere to view the contract on their website and there is no corporate offic

I requested that my membership be cancelled several times of the past several years I no longer live in the area and requested it be cancelled before I left I did not notice until recently that the membership had not been cancelled though it was confirmed by the desk personnel The charge has continued to be taken out of my checking account I am now being told that I have to come back in OR pay for certified mail

The reviews about this gym's poor cancellation policy are true - they will claim you have a window of time after joining to decide if you want to cancel or not and then give you the run around when you wish to cancel during that time frame! I cancelled over the phone and no one told me I had to cancel in person for it to be validI was charged a week later and called only to find out I had to come sign a cancellation form which was news to meAfter a month I have been charged times even though I literally cancelled the day after I signed upToday a girl had the nerve to call and tell me they were having issues charging my *** on file! I asked to speak with corporate - I was told there is no corporateThe manager was conveniently on vacationOh, and all they could do for me was offer me a month membership instead of a refundUnacceptable! It shouldn't matter if I sign a form or not - cancelled means cancelled aka I am not using your service so stop charging me! It shouldn't be a fightThe customer service is terrible, the staff unprofessional, and the practices dishonestPlease, if you have experienced similar I urge you to file a complaint with the Revdex.com otherwise they will continue acting like sore losers and mistreating those who cancel

I was advised to let you know by email what my complaint is regarding Fitness location at *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** A moment ago I just got off the phone with the general manager his name is *** And I spoke with him regarding the situation due to the fact that my credit card/*** *** *** was charged $this month when I cancelled membership with the Fitness location on *** *** already last month in October or a month ago already
In the beginning when I set up membership in the early part of October I didn’t know which location I was initially set up with for membership with Fitness because my partner set up the membership *** and there was no paperwork backing up or confirming my membership apparently they do not have confirmation printouts verifying that I was set up for membership at the *** ** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** ** *** ***

Fitness never made us aware that there would be an annual fee, and they randomly charged this only a couple months into membership When we called and requested to cancel and get a refund issued they said that you have to give days notice to cancel a gym membership We pay for this membership in advance so we should have been refunded the monthly dues for the coming month we will not be using We should also be refunded the annual fee that we were not told about

Interesting when you read other reviews and come to find out its the same thing over and over again No wonder why they have a C- , RatingI've been trying to cancel my membership for a year nowYour contract as you stated in your reply to customer complaint from July 2016, you can come in, in person to cancel your membership (Lies) I've been there multiple times but was told I couldnt cancel because the GM "Elmer" was not there to do soThen I finally get him on the phone and hes a jerk Why can I get a membership at anytime but can only cancel when he is there I live over miles away now and I've attempted to follow "procedure" but you do not return my numerous calls(also left my information the times I came in and no response)This is totally rediculous Why do I have to get a certified letter when you clearly state on here that if you come in person you can cancel, is it in your contract that you have to be there? I'm so angry this is not customer service in any way and I've paid you for over a year (monthly and now years of the yearly dues You are Liars and Theives!!!
