I am rejecting this response because:The person who sold us the car told us that he inspects all cars to make sure they are goodI still have this text saved.Furthermore, he told us (verbal agreement) that the car was in good shape, and was problem free, other than needingnew tires and a timing beltThis was dishonest of him to represent the car in this mannerWe did inspect the car, butdidn't realize we would need to take it to a professionalThis is what would have been needed, as neither my wife or myselfare mechanics*** represented himself as a mechanic, and did tell us he had looked the car over thoroughlySo he didmisrepresent the cars conditionIt's all fine and well to say that there is no warranty, and the car is sold as isBut in order forthat to be the case, the car has to be presented in the condition it is actually inI do not believe that *** had looked the carover as he claims he didIf he did, then he wasn't honest about the cars conditionNo warranty/sold as is applies when the sellerhas been completely up front about the cars condition, and is fully aware of said condition by way of a thorough and proper inspection
