Review: I was sold a car off L&K Enterprises used car lot. I was told by the dealer he would inspect, register and tag the vehicle. @ days after driving the car off the lot the brakes failed. Soon after that the check engine light came on and I was not given any record of what had been done to resolve the issue. When the check engine light fired again, one day after it was "fixed" I took it to another dealer. Upon further inspection this dealer informed me that the subframe of the vehicle was corroded, and that the vehicle is unsafe to drive and should not have passed NYS Inspection.Desired Settlement: Since the car was represented to me as a safe and reliable vehicle, and I was told it passed inspection when in fact it did did not, I believe that I should be entitled to a refund of the full price of the car, plus deposit, taxes and titles. The car was sold on false pretense and since it is unable to pass NYS inspection it should never have been sold in the first place.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID *, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. * and I had an agreement, where he would take back the car and refund my purchase price. This deal was made after I had filed the initial Revdex.com complaint. The car sat on his lot while I waited to receive the title from the DMV, and during that time the dealer called me to notify me that the deal was off. He refused to hold up his end of the deal and contended that I was a "dishonest man" for filing the complaint. When I got the car back the check engine light was still on and the steering alignment is now off. He claims to have replaced the subframe (which was rotted and should have caused the car to fail inspection before it was sold to me) but was unable to provide me with documentation of the work. He also told me he would mail me this documentation, which I have not received. This issue is absolutely not resolved.
