I will only give it one star because of sales. As far as service, if there was a no star option I would give it. Bought a brand new Bayliner that came out of the showroom with scratches on it and after a few hours on the water developed multiple stress cracks.
When I brought it in for its first ever service, the boat sat around for over 30 days and came back with several issues. Below is the email sent out.
"I am writing to inform you that there were two ‘We Owe’ scratches needed to be fixed on the boat before receiving it brand new from LMC and the one on the starboard bow is still not repaired. There was also warranty repair needed to be done to address stress cracks in the ski storage as well as the front center under seat storage. Upon inspection there seems to be other cracks propagating from the area that clearly have not been addressed. Kindly note that the boat has not yet been in the water since I picked it up yesterday 6/3/16.
A few other things that I would like to point out:
· The ski storage door is very loose at the hinges (most likely was removed for the crack repair)
· The rubber seal is coming off at the ski storage (most likely due to traffic in and out to fix the crack)
· There is a board separating the engine and the battery compartment is completely loose and detached with screws ripped out
· The helm console on top has clearly been sitting in the sun for an extended period of time since there are several sun cracks on it (brand new boat)
· Sea Dek is peeling off near the ski locker (Most likely due to traffic from the crack repair)
· Near the brackets where the transom secures to the swim platform there are cracks forming (this was also tightened under maintenance due to it being loose)
· Caulk that was coming off near the guard rail, still has caulk coming off near the rub rail.
· The rear lounger head support board is loose and missing 2 screws completely.
I want to make sure that you guys have this on record for my Boat, having 19.7 hours only and always in a covered parking while in my possession I am extremely disappointed with the quality of work (or lack thereof) that was performed.
In a nutshell, here are a few takeaways from my experience- I bought a brand new boat that was delivered with scratches, I bring it in for my 20 hour service to have those scratches repaired as well as warranty work completed. It took over 35 days to get it back and in this time period one would expect it to be done right. I am aware that I have been requesting the boat back several times and I believe for good reason as it seems to have been sitting in the sun for the majority of that time.
I feel like a spent 30K on something that is falling apart and to be quite honest it’s not a very good feeling"
--I received a one liner response that they will look into it (11 days ago) still no response.
Am done with LMC, if you you are interested in a boat look elsewhere, clearly purely profit and not long term customer oriented. Time to clean up the service department.
