Illegal practice in Horry County
This company is not legit at all . I live in horry county where it is against the law for them to boot cars . They where in a naiborhood booting cars claiming they where a tow company without a tow truck . The cops where called and they told them it was illegal and they could not do it . If you are dealing with this company look up your counties laws about booting and if you come across the same issue call the police but make sure you have the law saved so you can show them . If you live in Horry county and payed this company to release your car I suggest you file a civil suit against them and whoever gave them the ok like the property manager and get your money back. The lady working in the horry county location is very rude and does not treat people with respect she was even disrespectful to the officer .

Lied to - Andrew
Booted my guest's car even though it was scanned and within the timeframe. If not allowed, why give "false reassurance" in allowing and approving the scan. We contacted our community management and there is no rule that states a visitor can not stay longer than 72 hours. This car was moved and came back at night so not even just sitting there. When we called, Andrew said the guest was in violation of community rules - which he was not per our community. We have proof of the time expiring email as well. He still said we would have to pay so it seems like a scam to make money. We asked to speak to someone above Andrew and he lied and said there wasn't anyone. He is a manager, but there are regional managers. He then claimed to be an owner, which he is not. I have the time and resources to pursue a lawsuit. It also already looks like a group is formed for one anyway.

Sitting in car while booted.
I was sitting in my vehicle as I pulled over for a medical emergency. My friend advised me to pull over at their residence as it was a safe space for me as a female. While pouring down raining outside, a worker for LMS parking approached my vehicle and illegally placed a boot while I was occupying the vehicle. He did not identify himself as security, nor did he have proper identification. There will be a lawsuit.

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, you must give us a reason why you are rejecting the responseIf no reason is received your complaint will be closed Administratively Resolved] Complaint: I am rejecting this response because:my complaint was not resolvedAs per requested, I have attached additional information such as a photograph that shows the term "Office Visitor" as it is clearly visibleIf any additional information is requested, I am willing to share this information Regards, Jayde [redacted]

The person who parked without permission indicated in her complaint that she parked in a visitor spot I asked for evidence and she emailed me a photo which clearly shows that this was presumably a visitor spot but the apartment complex had blacked out the visitor spot The complainant then changed her stance with the photo to claim it was an office visitor spot If she was truly visiting the office and had informed our worker of this fact and our worker had confirmed it then the immobilization device would have been removed She did not inform our worker whether or not she was visiting the office and at this point it is to late It is important for the complainant to read the signs in the parking lot clearly before choosing to park in a parking lot for which she doesn't have authorization to park in

At the apartment complex in question, people are not immobilized in visitor spaces so the complainant's information is incorrect If the complainant has additional information or photos to back up their claim then I will look at those items

After reviewing the facts ( The video) we found that this person was parked in a permit only spotA lock was placed on their vehicle as the signs warnedWhen this person called to have locked removed he told agent he had the removal fee readyWhen agent arrived to remove lock this person
refused to pay and was very combativeThis person was using very foul language and Was being very disrespectfulThe agent was very professional and never used foul language. As the window slip that was placed on his vehicle indicates, A $charge will be collected if agent has to return if violator does not have removal fee ready when agent arrivesCompany policy is to place second lock on rear wheel if violator refuses to pay and threatens to remove their wheel as violator indicated he would do when speaking to a supervisor. All locks have rubber protectors so that it is impossible to damage wheelsIts been determined that this person can not except that they broke the rules and were caught so now he is trying to slander the LMS agentThe facts from witnesses and pictures prove him wrong

+1

I am so glad LMS takes care of my apartment complexWhen I arrived home tonight I could not find a parking spot because others that do not live here were using our spotsI called LMS and they sent someone out to help meWhen the very nice man arrived he found several cars with no permitsHe put wheel locks on their cars and called for a tow truckWithin minutes the truck came and took a car away so I would have a place to parkThese guys get so much crap from people using our parking lot but they are always so professional and nice.I do not understand why people park here after reading the signs that say you have to have a permitPeople that get caught sometime act very rude and disrespectful towards these guys and they are just doing a job to make sure people like me that pay to live here have a place to parkThank you LMS y'all are so great

So thankful a LMS person was around late at night to help my DaughterShe is a student at ASU and works lateShe came in late from work and had a encounter with a couple of drunk kidsShe tried to get away from them but they keep bothering herA LMS employee came over and helped herShe said he was so professional about getting the drunks to leave her aloneI understand they work most of the apartments in BooneI would think they have to deal with a lot of drunk and rude peopleI wish we had a company her in Athens, GA like LMS to help us

This business is a joke, the employees are argumentative and insultingA simple transaction turned into an attitude ridden encounter that I will not soon forgetI do not recommend using them at any time lest you wish your intelligence and integrity questioned by a stranger

Let me know if you would like to join lawsuit! Email [email protected]

LMS is in the business of monitoring private parking lots and enforcing the rules of the landowner.  In this instance the property was clearly marked pursuant to all State and local laws as admitted to by the complaint.  When our company immobilizes a trespassing car the owner/operator of...

that vehicle can sometimes be upset and proceed to berate our subcontractors.  Our subcontractors/employees are instructed and trained to deal with hostile individuals as best and quickly as they can to diffuse the situation.  The complaint makes clear that this person did not have a proper permit, did not go to the apartment office to obtain a temporary permit or park in visitor parking, that the property had signage about the immobilization of trespassing cars, and a receipt was given.  The complaint shows the LMS followed all state and local ordinance but that the complainant was merely upset because their car was immobilization when they failed to follow the clearly marked rules for this parking lot.  Nothing in this complaint suggests anything other than valid trespass immobilization so no refund will be given.

Complaint: 12441451
I am rejecting this response because: to say that we berated his employee is false accusations against us! All we did was ask him who his supervisor was and how we could get the money back! I handed him the $100 and he was very upset! I gave him the money and the receipt said it was from LMS not me! So this is not right! A copy of the receipt was added!

I have looked into this complaint and have found:1. The agents that wheel locked Ms. [redacted] had LMS winter jackets over their uniform. The jacket states the company name in bold print on the front.2. The agents were wearing there Town of Boone issued ID badges around their necksbecause they had just...

come from removing a lock across the street that is in the townlimits.. ( Ms. [redacted] was locked in the county not in the town limits and there is noordinance in Watauga County or the state requiring ID's. LMS is working with the countyand the state to implement ordinances and statutes pertaining to vehicle immobilization)3. Ms. [redacted] did not ask for a receipt at the time fine was paid as the window slip that wasplaced on her car instructed her to do. The window slip has the phone number to call tohave lock removed so she had to have read the instructions before calling. We do notwrite receipts unless one is requested.4. Ms. [redacted] was very rude from the start with agents and seemed intoxicated. She wouldnot take responsibility for her actions and refused to pay the posted fine for parkingwithout a permit. After thirty minutes or so the agents let her know they had no optionbut to charge her or they would have to have her towed.

The person who parked without permission indicated in her complaint that she parked in a visitor spot.  I asked for evidence and she emailed me a photo which clearly shows that this was presumably a visitor spot but the apartment complex had blacked out the visitor spot.  The complainant then changed her stance with the photo to claim it was an office visitor spot.  If she was truly visiting the office and had informed our worker of this fact and our worker had confirmed it then the immobilization device would have been removed.  She did not inform our worker whether or not she was visiting the office and at this point it is to late.  It is important for the complainant to read the signs in the parking lot clearly before choosing to park in a parking lot for which she doesn't have authorization to park in.

This is a complete lie by this business owner. When we arrived the companies employee Pulled up next to us and proceeded to put the 2nd lock on the vehicle,  in violation of the Boone ordinance. I told their employee that we had the money for him, and he chose to ignore this and tried to leave. This employee was rude and threatened to kick my [redacted], and to run me down with his vehicle. Rubber bumpers or not the clamps scratched my rims, probably done by the employee while he was removing the clamps, after my wife had to shove the money in his hand to get him to acknowledge that we were trying to pay. This company is well known in the Boone area for being dishonest and abusive, the chamber of commerce has a very large file on them full of complaints about their behavior.
