LND Asphalt

LND used chip and seal to pave just over 1200 feet (about 12,000 sqft) of my driveway. The driveway is up a hill. Only after they had left I learned that 2 full coatings of both chip and seal were required on hills. Either they did not know or did not want me to know as they used only a single shallow coat of tar. Much loose rock was left but they assured me the drive would last at least 12 years.

6 weeks later we had a moderate 1.5" rain. The rain destroyed the driveway leaving huge washouts across the road and ruts along the edges.

I called them. They were now in Oklahoma and I'm in central Texas. It was early spring. Their response was they might be able to get back to look at the damage in the fall. That was wholly unacceptable. I would not be able to get home after any other moderate rain.

Later I hired another company to redo the entire drive. They laid down 2 coatings for $4,000 less than LND charged for a single coat. It is now nearly fall and I've heard nothing from them.
