In point he says that they told me not to worry about the $because I told them I was currentAgain, why would they be asking me for $if I was current on my loan? He says in the letter that if they had known I was in default they never would have done business with me [redacted] said to me as long as garnishment hadn't started we were fineHe even stated "once it goes into garnishment, it's difficult to work with them." Why would he say that instead of "we won't work with you if you are in garnishment or default?" Then later when I notified them that I had gone into garnishment, they sent an email faxing information to the federal student loan organization trying to stop it [redacted] even states in the email that he had tried to call my employerI asked in an email (you have all of these) what the plan was [redacted] replied: Going thru consolidation/income-based repayment is like a reset. It freezes what is happening in April/May.The loan is taken back from ASA and FEDLOAN (DEPT OF ED) takes the loan over.Somewhere along the way, FED LOAN failed to communicate w/ ASA.By showing that there was a actual application in place and being processed should stop the garnishment.Attached is the cover letter(w/ pages) faxed to ASA today As you can see, he states thats FED LOAN failed to communicate and it should have frozen everything and "should stop the garnishment." This is complete admission that they knew exactly what was going on and misadvised meHe doesn't say "you should have told uswe can't work with you." He says exactly what he told me at our first meetingThe new application will freeze garnishment proceedings and everything would be reset with a new loan After that, when they were unable to make this problem right, they just cut me offStopped communicating at allI called all numbers and left messages and you can see in the emails, I sent several that were never answeredThey shut down and decided to hide from meDoes that sound like a professional who did everything right and was scammed by their client? You are very welcome to publish anything I have written here in regards to this business on your websiteIf my only recourse is the $refund they have promised me, even though I am out nearly $in garnishment because of them, I at least want to make sure they don't do this to anyone else Regards, [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because: The response from Debt Solutions is further proof of the unprofessional and outright disreputable business practices these two men are participating in. The first point on his letter states that I...

"DID NOT" inform them that I was already in default and at risk of being garnished. The very first time I spoke to [redacted] on the phone, I laid it all out. I told him I was receiving letters threatening garnishment. I was extremely honest about this because I didn't want any surprises later. I expected he might say it was too late and he couldn't help me, but he insisted that as long as they had not started garnishment yet, it was not too late to get in on the program. We set up an appointment for him to come visit me. When he arrived, I again told him my story. I was very clear that I was being threatened with garnishment. I showed him the letter from my student loan company and I told him that I was able to negotiate a $150 payment plan to hold them off. He told me that once the application he was completing for me was submitted, it would "freeze" any activity from my current company and I would not need to pay the $150.
He also states in point 1 that I told him I was making payments of $1000 a month. That is a flat out lie. I absolutely did not state this. That number was the estimated payment I would have if I was to ake full monthly payments to my current company based on the balance of the loan. I explained to him that I could not afford that and he used that number to show me how much lower my payments would be if on the new plan. Again... I NEVER stated I was making $1000 month payments. Why would I tell him that I had negotiated a payment of $150 a month if I were paying $1000 a month. Proof of that it in the emails I submitted to you. I stated that I had received notice to start the $150 payments from my current company. His reply (in black and white in the emails I sent you) was "ignore it."
In point 4 he says that they told me not to worry about the $150 because I told them I was current. Again, why would they be asking me for $150 if I was current on my loan?
He says in the letter that if they had known I was in default they never would have done business with me. [redacted] said to me as long as garnishment hadn't started we were fine. He even stated "once it goes into garnishment, it's difficult to work with them." Why would he say that instead of "we won't work with you if you are in garnishment or default?"
Then later when I notified them that I had gone into garnishment, they sent an email faxing information to the federal student loan organization trying to stop it. [redacted] even states in the email that he had tried to call my employer. I asked in an email (you have all of these) what the plan was. [redacted] replied:
Going thru consolidation/income-based repayment is like a reset. It freezes what is happening in April/May.The loan is taken back from ASA and FEDLOAN (DEPT OF ED) takes the loan over.Somewhere along the way, FED LOAN failed to communicate w/ ASA.By showing that there was a actual application in place and being processed should stop the garnishment.Attached is the cover letter(w/ 19 pages) faxed to ASA today.
As you can see, he states thats FED LOAN failed to communicate and it should have frozen everything and "should stop the garnishment." This is complete admission that they knew exactly what was going on and misadvised me. He doesn't say "you should have told us... we can't work with you." He says exactly what he told me at our first meeting. The new application will freeze garnishment proceedings and everything would be reset with a new loan.
After that, when they were unable to make this problem right, they just cut me off. Stopped communicating at all. I called all numbers and left messages and you can see in the emails, I sent several that were never answered. They shut down and decided to hide from me. Does that sound like a professional who did everything right and was scammed by their client?
You are very welcome to publish anything I have written here in regards to this business on your website. If my only recourse is the $160 refund they have promised me, even though I am out nearly $3000 in garnishment because of them, I at least want to make sure they don't do this to anyone else.
Regards,
