To whom it may concern:This letter is written in response to M [redacted] ' Revdex.com complaint ID [redacted] We have been working with Ms [redacted] to get her vehicle back to a safely running condition, Volvo of San Antonio and Volvo Cars of North America have declined 100% coverage of replacing Ms [redacted] ' engineThis was our conclusion due to lack of maintenance and failure to follow maintenance intervals as presented by Volvo Cars of North America, which directly led to the current condition of Ms [redacted] ' vehicle.While I understand she brought it back to our store upon first hearing the noise after for our diagnosis, Ms [redacted] states we did not let her know of the outcome of this diagnosis, and our employee let her know this sound is normalpersonally attended to her vehicle on 2/10/18, and I passed the information that the sound is indicative of going over 16,miles on one oil change, and the sound is not something that is reversible without replacing the engine, Unfortunately, the nature of where the fault may land when bringing word of mouth (undocumented conversations) between a company and an individual is a grey area; we are doing everything we can to remedy the situation without incurring an expense to our company.Ms [redacted] has accepted our offer to replace her vehicle's engine at our net costWe have sourced a quality, low mileage engine at the lowest possible cost, and have agreed to replace it at our cost on labor and suppliesShe has agree to have us replace her vehicle's engine at the price of $3,While we did not meet Ms, [redacted] ' disputed amount of $13,000, she does get a savings of over $10,to correct the situation Regards, [redacted]
