I went to get my tire replaced... and left with a damaged wheel. So here’s what happened.
I went to get my tire replaced, and they did replace it. BUT, they also damaged my wheel (expensive OEM BMW M5) really badly. I brought it up to the owner’s attention and showed him the damage that his employee did. For some reason he was really mad at me and offered me $20 and said there was nothing they could do. Of course, I rejected his offer, and I will file a complaint instead. Overall it was a really bad experience and would not recommend anyone go to this tire shop

My name is *** I’m the owner of Lobo tire service , upland ca.When this incident happened I was away , I asked my brother in detail to tell me what happened.Customer came in asking to replace his tire, we are always polite with our customers, so our helper *** took care of him , changing his tire , we have a notice visible to all of our customers it reads “Not responsible for damage to custom wheels or mag wheels” even though we have a notice we are very careful with their property , the job was done he left , he came back the next day saying we damaged his wheel, my brother and *** told him they didn’t damaged it that the wheel was put in the car with no damage what so ever , seeing an unsatisfied customer my brother told him if he believed we did a bad job he was willing to reimburse him but we’re not to blame what happened to his wheel , customer said he wanted a new wheel to which my brother refused, he left cursing and very mad.Anything could’ve happened when he drove out of the shop the day before , something on the road could’ve hit his his wheel, I don’t know what the scenario to damage the wheel was but it was not at the shop, we work with high end cars , bmw’s , Mercedes, Aston Martin, Porsche and we haven’t had a single complaint from any of the owners of the cars listed above , you can even check our reviews on google , thank you for your time .

I am rejecting this response because:
First of all, I would like to say that I am not a person that ever complains about things because the way I look at things is, if I don't like the service somewhere, I simply will not return to that business. However, this is a different case where I felt like I had to do something about it. Not only did they damage my wheel, the same person that helped me, denied damaging my wheel. The person writing the response to my initial complaint stated that they couldn't know if something on the road hit/damaged my wheel, but the truth is that the person that damaged my wheel never actually put the wheel back on my car to where the car was actually rolling on it, rather, he put it in the trunk of my car. Note: my car was on a spare tire, thats why there was no need to put the tire on my car. When I got home, I opened the trunk, and that is when I noticed the damage to the wheel. By the time I noticed, it was too late to go back that same day because it was later that night that I noticed. And that is why I had to go back the next day. Now, the damage to the wheel is not from the road, rather, it is from the machine they use at their shop. This machine has 5 sides that hold the wheel in place, so that they can remove the tire. The part that "grabs" the wheel has "teeth" and those are the marks that were left on my wheel. It does not take a professional tire person to immediately know that the type of damage done to the wheel was not caused by the road, but by a machine. The damage is not on the outer part of the wheel, it is on the inner part. With this being said, I am not happy with the way the person in charge handled the situation. Again, he was very rude and angry with me for going back to their shop the next day as well as angrily offering me $20 dollars to fix the issue.

All I can say is we have a notice that all tire shops have , it could’ve happened anywhere but unfortunately it happened in our shop , again the notice reads “ we are not responsible for damage to custom or mag wheels” All I can say is this type of things happen that being said , unfortunately we are not responsible for the damage to your wheel specially 24 hrs later .

I am rejecting this response because: To me it is not so much about them replacing or paying for my wheel, rather, it is more about the way the handled the situation. It was very unprofessional, and it made it worse that the person that was responsible for damaging my wheel denied doing it and blaming it on me. As a customer, I believe I deserve more respect than what I received that day. I am not satisfied with this outcome.
