Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:Again, no resolution was offeredIt is interesting that this paperwork comes into question, since the history report was not ever brought up until this paper was requested to be signedWhen I asked if they had it, the sales man said he would "have to find it" but never followed through on thatAs soon as the extended warranty was concerned, we were told we "had to sign it anyways"even though our vehicle "was not eligible for it"It seems there's quite a bit of information not being properly communicated by the 'salesman" as he was quite clear to us, and this is now the second time I was accused of denying a warranty, what I was not eligible forOr is that just what the salesman told us to cover himself, while still getting his papers signedJust like the history report I expected to get with out exit papers that he never went to findI didn't take it to a mechanic before the saleThe salesman was quite clear about informin us it was recently seen, and checked outNot only am I not the first person this has happened to, especially when it comes to explaining these pApers one way To signing and another after the fact, but misleading the details of the vehicleIn two years, only reviews, and a few from the owner and affiliates, is not an explanation of anything, especially when I have copies of the unsightly reviews they had reported and deletedSeems about as sneaky as the tactics I have been subjected to, and just as intentionally misleadingAs a dealership that has had so many years of experience, it's pretty certain they knew of the defect and did not disclose it to me Being seen Less than weeks prior (although after the fact tried to pretend they never took it in personally and put all responsibility of knowledge on the perivious owner) had to get the service records to find out the "previous owner" wasn't the last person to get it servicedUnlikely he tried to hide that for no reasonEspecially when this was also the same time the mechanic disclosed the possible defect to them, and offered to fix it Also, the reason they went in to that particular show, was to see if the old repairs were under warranty, to avoid spending money for the repair costsIt is interesting that the dealership knew so much and was able to high talk the vehicle prior to the saleTalk about dependability, being checked out, and great compression, Then after the fact claim, to not know anything about it, the perivious owner this, and we are not responsible for thatTo explain each pApwr signed one way, as they are asking us to sign them, then use them in another to fall back on when they don't want to own up to the mistake and misrepresentations madeAgain, for some reason, we were supposedly not eligible for this so called extended warrantyOr so your saleman claimedWas he not being honest, then? If you are accusing me of "denying it" then it sounds like it should have, or could have been offeredThen why, if this dealership is so honest, was I denied this, and now being accused of not getting it? According to the owner, now, we were elidgable? Same thing with the history report, as it was not mentioned until this paper came up, I asked for itHe was going to find it, yet never provided it once the stupid paper was signed like he wantedNone of this sounds like an honest saleAnd the owner seems to be completely unaware or in denial of the practices shown by his salemanWe asked all the right questionsWe were provided answers to find out none were honest, just what a saleman knew would save the saleWe find that out now, but, misrepresenting the vehicle in the way that he did was unlawful, as he gave purposefully misleading informationThe reason we have right to ask these questions is because they are obligated to answer them truthfullyI have not had any of that, as it turns out everything, including what I was told during the signing was falseThe papers were signed under representation and pretensesAnd again as is is assuming all known defects were disclosed, the vehicle was honestly represented, and all guides and laws followedNone of this, was the case hereI'm sorry to hear the dealership is not honest enough to own up to the wrongs done In Our caseNor willing to make any good faith effort to make it rightInstead hide behind biased and inaccurate Facebook review averages, and misrepresented paperworkI have witnesses to the events of the day, as I did not go in aloneAnother customer who fell through the sAme tactics here recently, is more than willing to testify his experiences as well to the character of the dealership, and the several acquaintances that I'm sure are willing to testify to the dealership's good character, as they in appropriately attack those who try to speak to their truth and aid in the dealerships dirty workIt does not seem the dealership is willing to provide any type of solution for his salemans complete misconduct, and I will have to move forward Sincerely, [redacted]

January 30, 2017Dear Revdex.com:I am writing your regarding a complaint you received apparently on 1/20/ID# [redacted] First of all Iwould like to inform you that I have contacted Willard Ransom Attorney at Law here in Grants Passregarding this matter with [redacted] I have been in the car business many years, It is extremely rarethat I ever have these kinds of complaints from customersIt should be noted public reviews of ourbusiness are the highest I know of In the country, that is 4.9/star with over reviews on Facebookand GoogleSo we take pride in serving our community and trying to be fair and honest to ourcustomersNo car dealership obtains these ratings from the general public by lying to customers, tricking them, or mistreating them.I simply would like to point out a few things hereFirst of all, when I received Ms [redacted] 's complaintsshe was asked many times through Facebook to come to the car lot in person and talk with Scott mysales manager and myself the ownerThe reason why I was not in direct communication with Ms[redacted] at the time of her purchase and during the sales processHowever, she refused to come talk tous in person, and engaged In a very lengthy Facebook messaging conversationSecondly, the 1992Toyota 4runner Vin# [redacted] was bought as is, this is a year old vehicle with lots ofmiles on itThe purchase order and agreement Ms [redacted] signed directly says, "No verbal statementsare binding on Local Boys Auto Sales no warranty is expressed or implied on this vehicle and if thedealer is required to defend itself the buyer will be responsible for the dealerships legal fees " In over adecade of experience in the car business, witch includes co ownership, and now owning my ownbusiness, in all cases the dealer has never been found responsible for these kinds of claimsSecondly,Ms [redacted] signed our used car buyers information sheet at the time of purchase witch states thefollowing: I understand the used vehicle is sold as-is, with no warranties or guarantees of any kind, that Iam solely responsible for all repairs and maintenances for this vehicle, and in bold print: local Boys AutoSales will NEVER be responsible for any repairs of her vehicle once it leaves the car lotMs [redacted] also signed the inspection section on our buyer's information sheet, I understand Local Boys has allowedme the option to take the vehicle to a mechanic of my choice for inspectionAnd that she is NOT relyingon the representation of the dealership, and/or its representatives, but is relying on her own inspectionto predict the future reliability of the vehicleThirdly, Ms [redacted] signed a Notice and Dealer Liabilityrelease, service contract waiverAt the time of purchase the vehicle was priced at $3,it was thendiscounted to $2,500, and she was offered to purchase a third party service contract that covers enginerepairs, and other major repairs in the event the vehicle breaksMs [redacted] declined the purchase ofan extended service planBuying a year old vehicle for thousands and thousands of dollars less thana new one, means there is risk involvedShe bought the vehicle clearly knowing it had some defects, thedealers paperwork is extremely clear we do not diagnose, or claim to know of all defects with eachvehicleMs [redacted] was nothing but, happy with her vehicle it seemed until approximately monthafter her purchase, when the alleged engine problems occurred with her vehicleUnfortunately, wecannot predict on a used vehicle sold whether it will last many years trouble free, or at a muchsooner or even immediate time need repairs? We again try to sell good, safe, reliable transportation. And that is why we have the highest ratings I know of in the used car industry for customer satisfaction. The reviews speak for themselvesI strive to serve our community and do good to each customer, however, I am not liable for an extremely discounted, very old car, the customer bought as-is, with nowarranty implied whatsoeverThe vehicle had expensive tires and wheels, a nice lift, many valuablepartsIt may not be in Ms [redacted] 's best interest to fix the vehicle should it cost her more than thepurchase price of her vehicle? Perhaps she should sell it for parts, or sell it broken to a moremechanically inclined buyer? Usually I would be happy to try to appraise the vehicle for a fair trade infor Ms [redacted] , accept her threats sound of the nature of legal matterTherefore, it is in Local Boysbest interest to not do any further business with herAgain I am extremely disappointed that Ms[redacted] is blaming my dealership for a risk vs rewards purchase she madeThis is the risk involved withbuying a used vehicle, it's a rare occurrence, and we are sorry that she is one of the very few that haveever complained like thisWe will not pay to fix anything on this vehicle, and will not imply anywarranty whatsoever to her 4runner.Regards, Luke F [redacted] Local Boys Auto Sales LLC (OWNER)

Dear Revdex.com,the complainant, had the opportunity to inspect and take the vehicle to a mechanic before she purchased her vehicleShe declined to do so, and purchased this clearly used car, as is, with all faults; furthermore she specifically agreed we would not be responsible for any repairs subsequent to her purchase of the vehicle, and the bold print reads, on line one of our used car buyer information sheet; LOCAL BOYS AUTO SALES WILL NEVER BE RESPONSIBLE TO FIX MY VEHICLELine three of this sheet also, says in plain words, I have been offered by the dealership for my review a vehicle history reportFurthermore, the complainant also signed a waiver that she refused to purchase a service contract available at the time of purchase for her vehicleThe waiver has larger print and six short sentencesThe first sentence reads, I have been given a thorough explanation about extended service contracts available for my vehicleWe find it interesting that the complainant claims to have not seen the vehicle history report, or have been offered to review it before her purchase, since she signed that she was offeredWe also find it interesting that she claims to have not been offered to purchase an extended warranty contract, when she signed the waiver of service contract form.We were not aware of any problems with the vehicle expect those disclosed to the complainant, before she purchased her vehicleWe as a dealership wish customers the best with the future reliability of any used vehicle purchased at Local Boys Auto Sales, and we are clear if and when the vehicle needs repairs large or small, we will not be responsible to pay or fix anythingThe vehicles are prices much lower than new ones and that is a risk involved in buying a used vehicle with no warranty or extended service contract, that when repairs are needed the buyer will assume the repair needs, not the sellerThe seller has clearly stated we don't fix the merchandise when it breaks, and we don't guarantee when it may or may not breakThe complainant claims to have found some other dissatisfied customers, however, the records speak for themselves4.9/stars reviews with approximately reviews total, does not come from dishonesty, and intentional misleading of customersWe have plenty of customers to witness our character of kindness, honesty, and integrity in our business practices.Regards,Luke F*Local Boys Auto Sales LLC (OWNER) **DOCUMENTS REDACTED BY Revdex.com**

Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:Regardless of warranties signed (and I was told that my vehicle was 'ineligible to the warranty they offered), the defect of the vehicle in question was not disclosed, and intentionally mislead. This vehicle was seem, by a mechanic within days of my purchaseThe mechanic disclosed to them the concern about the vehicles possible compression issueDuring our conversation with our salesman, he falsely reassured us in telling us "it was recently seen by a mechanic and "compression is definitely not an issue." Now, Understandably he was a salesman, not a mechanic, but I assume after "so many years" in the car business, he would not make that statement without either proof, or knowledge, as this would in fact be intentionally misleading and misrepresenting the state and dependability of the vehicleFinding they were INFORMED of this shortly before this statement was made, means this was said with the full intention of fraudulently misleading us as customers. Luke was in fact, co owner of Redwood Auto LLC, with his brotherThis business has two files and public complaints on file with the Oregon Department of Justice for similar behavior and issuesThis business has been open for short of years. Due to the ability to filter, remove and deny reviews on facebook, these are quite inaccurateThere are several reviews found for both companies, luke in specific, for customers that have dealt with issues much like mine, and moreOne review was from Luke himself, inaccurately providing a high biased review for his own co owned companyProviding and misleading rating averages to customers online. In these reviews it is also mentioned and shown that Luke has been quite defensive, rude and confrontational to his dissatisfied customersBeing a woman under feet, this is not a comfortable situation to handle this type of confrontation in person, after reading the past experiences he has had with how he deals and treats these customers. Several cases have been won in regards to misleading and intentional falsely provided information in the means of sales and company dealingsMost were the reason consumer protection exists, and the Federal trades and commissions act was establishedAll of which also, signed and were provided with 'AS-is" warranties, but undisclosed issues. The only thing about this vehicle that was disclosed to me was the cold startingThis from the words of the salesman, was because he "forgot to start it for a while " that morning, so that it was not so difficult to startI got lucky on that half, he made it sound like he would typically hide this, but was forces to talk about it when we asked for a test drive. This complaint is not about trying to make money off the dealership, but the idea that such an important piece of information was not provided to meThe considerable amount of damages I am facing then finding out that the dealership was obligated to disclose this to me, and intentionally left that outJust as it'a a mechanics job to disclose what he finds, a dealership is just as liable for what they were informed of and making sure the buyer is AWAREJust because he denied the mechanics offer the further investigate and diagnose this issue, does not give him the right to claim "unknowledgable" to what he was told, nor does it give the right not deny knowledge, just because there was no paperwork on it, that he conveniently avoided, as he knew what that paper would cost himInstead, it has costed me. Considering the documentation I have, I have every good chance of seeking and getting full repairs according to oregon law, should I have to make it to small claims, That will be the priceIn small claims, you are to represent yourself, without a lawyer. I wanted to be fair, and give the dealership a chance to make this right, at a much lower costActually, significantly less than the price I am stuck paying. From here I will move towards higher routes, with testimonies, and proof of the dealerships undeniable knowledge of this undisclosed issue, seeking damages instead
Sincerely,

January 30, 2017Dear Revdex.com:I am writing your regarding a complaint you received apparently on 1/20/17 ID# [redacted]. First of all Iwould like to inform you that I have contacted Willard Ransom Attorney at Law here in Grants Passregarding this matter with [redacted]. I have been in...

the car business many years, It is extremely rarethat I ever have these kinds of complaints from customers. It should be noted public reviews of ourbusiness are the highest I know of In the country, that is 4.9/5 star with over 50 reviews on Facebookand Google. So we take pride in serving our community and trying to be fair and honest to ourcustomers. No car dealership obtains these ratings from the general public by lying to customers, tricking them, or mistreating them.I simply would like to point out a few things here. First of all, when I received Ms. [redacted]'s complaintsshe was asked many times through Facebook to come to the car lot in person and talk with Scott mysales manager and myself the owner. The reason why  I was not in direct communication with Ms.[redacted] at the time of her purchase and during the sales process. However, she refused to come talk tous in person, and engaged In a very lengthy Facebook messaging conversation. Secondly, the 1992Toyota 4runner Vin# [redacted] was bought as is, this is a 25 year old vehicle with lots ofmiles on it. The purchase order and agreement Ms. [redacted] signed directly says, "No verbal statementsare binding on Local Boys Auto Sales ... no warranty is expressed or implied on this vehicle and if thedealer is required to defend itself the buyer will be responsible for the dealerships legal fees ... " In over adecade of experience in the car business, witch includes co ownership, and now owning my ownbusiness, in all cases the dealer has never been found responsible for these kinds of claims. Secondly,Ms. [redacted] signed our used car buyers information sheet at the time of purchase witch states thefollowing: I understand the used vehicle is sold as-is, with no warranties or guarantees of any kind, that Iam solely responsible for all repairs and maintenances for this vehicle, and in bold print: local Boys AutoSales will NEVER be responsible for any repairs of her vehicle once it leaves the car lot. Ms. [redacted]also signed the inspection section on our buyer's information sheet, I understand Local Boys has allowedme the option to take the vehicle to a mechanic of my choice for inspection. And that she is NOT relyingon the representation of the dealership, and/or its representatives, but is relying on her own inspectionto predict the future reliability of the vehicle. Thirdly, Ms. [redacted] signed a Notice and Dealer Liabilityrelease, service contract waiver. At the time of purchase the vehicle was priced at $3,995 it was thendiscounted to $2,500, and she was offered to purchase a third party service contract that covers enginerepairs, and other major repairs in the event the vehicle breaks. Ms. [redacted] declined the purchase ofan extended service plan. Buying a 25 year old vehicle for thousands and thousands of dollars less thana new one, means there is risk involved. She bought the vehicle clearly knowing it had some defects, thedealers paperwork is extremely clear we do not diagnose, or claim to know of all defects with eachvehicle. Ms. [redacted] was nothing but, happy with her vehicle it seemed until approximately 1 monthafter her purchase, when the alleged engine problems occurred with her vehicle. Unfortunately, wecannot predict on a used vehicle sold as-is whether it will last many years trouble free, or at a muchsooner or even immediate time need repairs? We again try to sell good, safe, reliable transportation. And that is why we have the highest ratings I know of in the used car industry for customer satisfaction. The reviews speak for themselves. I strive to serve our community and do good to each customer, however, I am not liable for an extremely discounted, very old car, the customer bought as-is, with nowarranty implied whatsoever. The vehicle had expensive tires and wheels, a nice lift, many valuableparts. It may not be in Ms. [redacted]'s best interest to fix the vehicle should it cost her more than thepurchase price of her vehicle? Perhaps she should sell it for parts, or sell it broken to a moremechanically inclined buyer? Usually I would be happy to try to appraise the vehicle for a fair trade infor Ms. [redacted], accept her threats sound of the nature of legal matter. Therefore, it is in Local Boysbest interest to not do any further business with her. Again I am extremely disappointed that Ms.[redacted] is blaming my dealership for a risk vs rewards purchase she made. This is the risk involved withbuying a used vehicle, it's a rare occurrence, and we are sorry that she is one of the very few that haveever complained like this. We will not pay to fix anything on this vehicle, and will not imply anywarranty whatsoever to her 4runner.Regards, Luke F[redacted]Local Boys Auto Sales LLC (OWNER)

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:Again, no resolution was offered. It is interesting that this paperwork comes into question, since the history report was not ever brought up until this paper was requested to be signed. When I asked if they had it, the sales man said he would "have to find it" but never followed through on that. As soon as the extended warranty was concerned, we were told we "had to sign it anyways"even though our vehicle "was not eligible for it". It seems there's quite a bit of information not being properly communicated by the 'salesman" as he was quite clear to us, and this is now the second time I was accused of denying a warranty, what I was not eligible for. Or is that just what the salesman told us to cover himself, while still getting his papers signed. Just like the history report I expected to get with out exit papers that he never went to find. I didn't take it to a mechanic before the sale. The salesman was quite clear about informin us it was recently seen, and checked out. Not only am I not the first person this has happened to, especially when it comes to explaining these pApers one way To signing and another after the fact, but misleading the details of the vehicle. In two years, only 55 reviews, and a few from the owner and affiliates, is not an explanation of anything, especially when I have copies of the unsightly reviews they had reported and deleted. Seems about as sneaky as the tactics I have been subjected to, and just as intentionally misleading. As a dealership that has had so many years of experience, it's pretty certain they knew of the defect and did not disclose it to me.  Being seen Less than 2 weeks prior (although after the fact tried to pretend they never took it in personally and put all responsibility of knowledge on the perivious owner) had to get the service records to find out the "previous owner" wasn't the last person to get it serviced. Unlikely he tried to hide that for no reason. Especially when this was also the same time the mechanic disclosed the possible defect to them, and offered to fix it.  Also, the reason they went in to that particular show, was to see if the old repairs were under warranty, to avoid spending money for the repair costs. It is interesting that the dealership knew so much and was able to high talk the vehicle prior to the sale. Talk about dependability, being checked out, and great compression, Then after the fact claim, to not know anything about it, the perivious owner this, and we are not responsible for that. To explain each pApwr signed one way, as they are  asking us to sign them, then use them in another to fall back on when they don't want to own up to the mistake and misrepresentations made. Again, for some reason, we were supposedly not eligible for this so called extended warranty. Or so your saleman claimed. Was he not being honest, then? If you are accusing me of "denying it" then it sounds like it should have, or could have been offered. Then why, if this dealership is so honest, was I denied this, and now being accused of not getting it? According to the owner, now, we were elidgable? Same thing with the history report, as it was not mentioned until this paper came up, I asked for it. He was going to find it, yet never provided it once the stupid paper was signed like he wanted. None of this sounds like an honest sale. And the owner seems to be completely unaware or in denial of the practices shown by his saleman. We asked all the right questions. We were provided answers to find out none were honest, just what a saleman knew would save the sale. We find that out now, but, misrepresenting the vehicle in the way that he did was unlawful, as he gave purposefully misleading information. The reason we have right to ask these questions is because they are obligated to answer them truthfully. I have not had any of that, as it turns out everything, including what I was told during the signing was false. The papers were signed under false representation and pretenses. And again as is is assuming all known defects were disclosed, the vehicle was honestly represented, and all guides and laws followed. None of this, was the case here. I'm sorry to hear the dealership is not honest enough to own up to the wrongs done In Our case. Nor willing to make any good faith effort to make it right. Instead hide behind biased and inaccurate Facebook review averages, and misrepresented paperwork. I have witnesses to the events of the day, as I did not go in alone. Another customer who fell through the sAme tactics here recently, is more than willing to testify his experiences as well to the character of the dealership, and the several acquaintances that I'm sure are willing to testify to the dealership's good character, as they in appropriately attack those who try to speak to their truth and aid in the dealerships dirty work. It does not seem the dealership is willing to provide any type of solution for his salemans complete misconduct, and I will have to move forward.
Sincerely,
[redacted]
