Local Guys Moving

This whole experience was tragic This company gave us no price until the endCame to our house completely unprepared - no boxes - no tape - no wrapping paperWe have been told that they have no insurance!!! We called movers & we were talked rude to & hung up on! Said they did not know they were suppose to pack up things NOT TRUE

Beware! *** will ostensibly appear very appreciative of your business and "thank you" more times than you can countBut beneath his well-polished facade, *** is reactive and defensive and will think nothing of abandoning the work should any problem arise
We used *** ***/Asheville Local Movers/Local Guys Moving in August and had a great experience moving into a short-term rentalHowever, when we attempted to use him weeks later moving into our permanent house, the experience could not have been more different
It began when *** wanted to know if we could move a day early due to the forecast of rain with the warning that it would result in, appropriately, extra fees if we waited extra time would be required to shrink-wrap our itemsHowever, this also meant that we had to quickly advance our last packing, including all of our bedding, clothing, and toiletry suppliesIt also meant my having to go through extra efforts to have the cleaners who were finishing up our new house to push ahead of their schedule, thus causing the cleaners undo disruption
After my family had rushed to finish packing everything and the cleaners had accommodated us, *** then began to vacillate stating he was not sure if they would now finish in time to move us that dayAfter I agreed to a very late time for that evening, *** said he was sending us his "best" crew
***'s "best" crew arrived, looked at the driveway and said it was not possible to take the truck up to the house, without any attempt to do so, and said they would return tomorrow with a smaller truckWe were moving from the same place ***'s team had just moved us into weeks earlier and with the same size truck! When I called *** to let him know the burden this had put us under and to request a different group for tomorrow, he immediately became defensive and said that he would not be moving us, to go find someone else
I did find someone else that eveningThankfully, U-haul's website had available movers for that very next dayLooking at the Revdex.com, *** appears to be running a shell game with his company and is not running a legitimate operation through the state of North Carolina
Save yourself a lot of potential hassle and spend a few extra dollars on a reputable company
