Review: We tried the DSL Internet service and was never able to receive internet on Aug 29, 2012. I called and cancelled the service and was told that it would be cancelled,and I would also need to send an email. Therefore I also sent a cancellation email. Localnet has continued to charge my debit card in small fees that I did not catch I called back and was told it would be taken care of, it is still being taken from my debit card. My card was recently changed by the bank and I was issued a new card. Localnet was no longer able to access the card and sent me a Demand Letter wanting to collect the past 3 months. Where it was brought to my attention that they were still withdrawing money from my account. I called them and told them that I didn't want my credit ruined over $50.00 but I did not feel like I owed the bill. I was treated very rudely. When I asked to speak to a supervisor they refused to transfer my call. I have now contacted all my credit cards and the debit card and blocked any transaction from localnet and in the process of getting a another new debit card.Desired Settlement: I feel like that localnet owes me a refund of $363.85 at the least. This is not a large amount of money but I do hope that this company is held accountable for their actions. The public needs to be aware that they do not offer what they say they do and once you try the service it is almost impossible to get out of the service.

Review: I became a member of localnet.com a couple of weeks ago for dial-up internet service. The service was terrible and I could not connect to anything except for email. After trying for a week I gave up and decided to upgrade to DSL on Monday January 27th . It took until February 8th until they connected my service . They had told me on January 27th that they would send a tech to connect me but on the 7th of Feb. when they called to tell me my service would be turned on they said I could do it myself they would not be sending a tech . I had 3 different people come and try to connect it with no luck . I called localnet on Feb 10th and told them I wanted a tech to be sent out or I was going to cancel my service . They refused to send a tech and told me I would have to send an email or a fax or a handwritten letter to cancel and that it would not take effect until March 8th . I paid $29.95 on January 27th and have never had usable service . I feel that they should refund my money and cancel my service now rather than wait until the 8th of March . Can you help me with this ?Desired Settlement: I feel they should refund my $29.95 since I never had usuable service and they refused to send a technician to help me. Also I do not see why I have to wait until the 8th of March to be terminated since I had to go with another server and am not even using their service at all.

Review: I've asked repeatedly to have service stopped and I continue to receive an amount due. I paid while using the service and won't pay for service after I asked it to be discontinued. When I called to discuss it with a rep I was treated very rudely and she proceeded to hang up on me.Desired Settlement: I want total due balance of $34.90 to be taken away. I should owe nothing.

Review: I was trying to find an internet company. Localnet said that I needed a different phone company. Between the phone companies that I talked to, I got very confused. So a few hour after I called Localnet to register I called localnet that I did not want their service. I needed something less complicated.When I checked my debit card statement the following Sunday I seen that they had still not removed the charge I sent them an email stating they I have never used their service and my money should be returned. I'm Having no luckDesired Settlement: I would like my money returned to me with no hassles. And I would like it in a timely manner like a week or two. I think that would be very simple.
