I went to local roots on Fourth of July and had wanted to purchase 7 grams of cartridges (which is the legal limit) when I was rung up after picking my items I was told I could only be sold 3.5 grams (half the legal limit) because the system is ringing up my incorrectly. After asking how to resolve the issue to be able to get all my items the manager on duty was extremely rude, hostile, and unwilling to help. I was then kicked out of the store after trying to calm the situation down. I have never been treated this way and have been coming to this location since they opened and have great transactions usually. I was shocked by the reaction I got from the manager. I sent them an email trying to resolve the issue a different way, and now am being told I threatened one of there employees with a knife (which is not true) and am not welcome back at local roots.
Hello,
This individual is only being truthful about one thing, we were not able to sell him the legal limit on the products he was trying to purchase. This purchase was done in the evening when the only available staff are not able to change pricing. We had incorrectly priced product and the customer was adamant about receiving his legal limit. The employee offered to honor the discounted price the next day and apologized for the inconvenience. The customer became more upset and the shift lead was then involved. The shift lead then explained that the person who brought the product into the system made a mistake and is not here to correct it and by WSLCB rules we cannot sell over the legal limit. We do know that we technically were not selling over the legal limit but on paper it looks exactly like we are. If a future audit happened it would be hard to explain. It was at this time customer said about the person who made the mistake "I will kill her with the knife I carry". We then immediately asked the customer never to return. The customer has a grudge for some reason. We have a great reputation for our customer service. This is a summary of the interaction, if you have any questions please let me know.
Thank you,
Rahn
