Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because of the items stated below.Sincerely, [redacted] pt pt / [redacted] Style Definitions */ I often say to clients, there are as many perspectives as there are minds My perspective is not about obligation It is about good business practices and harmonious community I will state the facts here, and my perspectives Fact: I see no letter from the printer attached It is a copy of Shield’s letter Even if it were attached he would be supplying a statement from the vendor himself, which would prove nothing except that the printer takes pride in his business’ quality of work Fact: My graphics professional saw my ad and told me that he noticed it’s poor print quality, and stated that this printer is well known for this occurring Several other people in the community told me they saw my ad and noticed it’s poor print quality relative to the other ads in the publication Fact: I advertised with other publications at the same time including one who used the same printer, a fact I was told by my graphics professional The ad published by the paper that uses the same printer was also not a good quality printHowever that publisher immediately contacted me and told me there would be no charge, offering me the opportunity to post again upon revising my ad to compensate for the quality My perspective: This is the difference between obligation and good business practices, especially considering my ad was only $ Fact: The rates that S [redacted] quotes are not accurate Rates are posted on his website One-eighth page that I bought (1/8) is $and the 12x rate is $125, which is what S [redacted] quoted me on the phone I have all my notes He offered me the 12x rate plus $discount not $discount as he states in his response This 12x rate is what two other publications also offered and charged me as an introductory rate It is not uncommon All the other items he mentioned, testimonial, good placement, etcare all included in the advertisement This is not a special compensation Perspective: Ashland is a friendly community-minded town in which I know numerous people I have a wonderful harmonious business and personal relationship with all that I encounter I make friends easily S [redacted] ’ reaction is extreme, refusing to validate my concern and banning me from ever advertising again My request was a reasonable request This is not good business Who knows how many others have also received such an extreme reaction when expressing concern for the quality of their printed ad My intention in asking S [redacted] to reconsider his perspective several times was that perhaps he would have a better day and a better state of mind This has clearly not occurred It is unfortunate in a community of wonderful people with whom I enjoy a great relationship time to this

Each month we print and distribute 15,000 copiesof the Ashland, Oregon LocalsGuide. Over the past ten years in business we have hadthe opportunity to...

work with more than 600 local businesses and community memberswith a 99.99% success rate.Every once in a while we do encounter an individual or business who may not fullyunderstand the nature of print advertising and therefore will request a refund. In thissituation we reviewed the clients print ad both internally and with our printer and havedetermined that we have completely fulfilled our service obligation to her.The advertisement was successfully printed and delivered. We additionally offeredprint advertisement at a significant discount by her request due to financial hardship,provided premium placement in the paper, and also upgraded the print ad to display acustomer testimonials for the client. We charged her $80 less than what is typicallyoffered to our other clients.We feel that the clients claims are inaccurate and therefore we will not be offering anyfurther discounts.Please see the attached letter from our printer verifying the quality of the the clients ad.Sincerely,S[redacted]
