a home based business, as my clientele grew, I made the decision to lease a studio suite. On June 30th, of this year marked 6 year of my business thriving and I made the decision not to renew my lease because it was time for my business to expand and open up my own storefront. With that being said, I'm still accepting new clients everyday from my home (back to home-based business) as I transition to a storefront in a couple of months. I don't provide all my services, for example shampooing, facials and anything that requires the demand of a full salon. Those clients have been referred out and are in good hands of my fellow colleagues. As for my specialty, Sisterlocks, I continue to do that out of my home. If research was done, Mrs. [redacted] would known that 85% of Sisterlocks consultants are home-based businesses. Feel free to contact the Sisterlocks home office at[redacted] to verify this information. Attached you will find correspondance between Mrs. [redacted] and myself. As a professional stylist, I take my business seriously rather I'm doing at home or on the runway, it does not effect the quality of service I provide. I am the number one sought out Sisterlocks consultant in the Austin metropolitan area, so I do not have a problem with clients, this is why I am so excited about our expansion. In the correspondences, you will see that Mrs. [redacted] emailed me asking about other consultants, I take it that she did not find any other consultant and schedule an appointment with me on the 4th of Spetember. Throughout our communication and appointment I have been nothing but professional. In the appointment reminder that is sent to Mrs. [redacted], there is a google map of my address, it provides you with a clear picture of where the business is located (see the attachments to see the email that was sent to Mrs. [redacted]). At that time she could have view the property and see what the located looked like. Furthermore, when she (and husband) drove up to the property, parked and rang the door bell, she could have cancelled the appointment if she felt uncomfortable/ realized my business did not meet her standards. But instead, she(and husband) came in, sat in my living room for an intensive 1 hour consultation about her hair. She got some very useful information and sample locks placed in her hair. I also provided her with a customized hair regimen specificially catering to her hair conditions (free of charge,  with the thought that she would be a future client. Value ($25)) I emailed that out to her on the 6th of September (see attachment). Upon completion of the consultation, she was reponsisble to pay $50 (which is non refundable, if you decide to get the Sisterlocks package, it will go toward that total). When booking the appointment, it clearly states that this fee is non-refundable (since 2009, that will never change) because the time that I spend giving a thorough consulation is valuable. The answer for your request for a $50 settlement is no, I will not refund you back for the consultation or travel expenses. You had the opportunity to view the address and property since the 28th of August, when the appointment reminder was sent to you. I wish you the best in your hair journey.
