Locket, Inc. Reviews (2)
Review: Locket launched as an Android app promising to pay users to look at ads on their homescreen. From their website: "Locket, a New York City-based startup that lets you earn money from ads on your Android phone lock screens, is aiming to use its technology for good." and "Young entrepreneur [redacted] wants to pay you every time you unlock your phone. Locket is an app that delivers ads on your lock screen, and pays you for just unlocking your phone."The rules were that you were paid for each unique ad once per day, and could only cash out after reaching $10.On December [redacted], Locket abruptly and without warning changed their business model to no longer pay their users at all. Instead, they will still show all their users ads, and donate some of their profits to charity. This change leaves over 300,000 users, myself included, each with up to $10 in credit within the app with no way to be paid. Since Dec [redacted], the app's rating has dropped dramatically, with thousands of angry and hurt users. The company itself has posted "A lot of you are leaving negative feedback and we're really sorry you feel scammed and frustrated" yet refuse to provide any remedy to their users.Desired Settlement: I would like to see the company be required to actually pay each user, myself included, the amount earned, as was promised by the company for months.
Review: On 12/**/13 I requested a $10 payment through the Locket app which I still have yet to receive.Desired Settlement: Locket claims to payout every 2nd Monday. It has now been over a month and I have not received the money owed. I expect this to be delivered to my Paypal account immediately.
