Several weeks ago I had this company come out to my home and reprogram a go key for me, that is all I want done. The man or owner came and did program the key but he all so made me another key. Which I didnt complaint about. The charges was $158.00 and I only had a $100.00 which he took and I told that I would pay the remaining about the on Friday, Which I did. I mail his company a $58.00 dollar money order. My mother, cousin, and my children was at my home. The owner then started to threaten and harassment my mother and then inform her that he she didn't give him $58.00 he was going to take my car, my mother then told him that he wasn't taking anything, he then told her that he had the title and a lien on my car which he doesn't. I have the title and there is no lien on it. My mother then told him that if he try to take the car she would call the police. He then told my mother that if he would give her $40.00 the he would write of the remaining amount, she gave him the $40.00 and then she has for a receipt and he refuse to give her one and she then told him the he is require to give her a receipt. This was very unprofessional and ugly. This isn't the way a business should run their company. Also I have inform them by email that I am putting a trace on the money order that I mail to them for this payment. Also inform them that if the trace comes back showing that they have gotten this payment that I will hire a lawyer and file charges against them.Desired SettlementIs this how they run their company by lying, threatening and harassment. Threatening children, threaten to take someones car illegally. This is very unprofessional and illegal. I want a write apologia from them to my mother and myself. When the trace comes back showing that I have paid, I want a cash refund to my mother. Business Response Dear Mr.[redacted],Thank you for allowing us to respond to case number 40100090. We appreciate the time that the Revdex.com takes to thoroughly investigate all matters. As you can see from our past history, we take quite a bit of pride in our A+ plus rating from the Revdex.com. In August 2014, We were contacted by the customer mentioned in the complaint. She was quite frantic when she called because she had contacted many other locksmiths who were not able to help her due to her inability to make full payment at the time of service. We happily came out and programmed her new key. In addition, we also gave her a free "bonus" key at no additional charge. The total the total bill was $148.16 which was greatly discounted rate. Unfortunately she did not have the total due at that time. Because she did not have the full amount, we agreed that she would pay $100 immediately and would mail the additional $48 within one week. When we didn't receive payment for multiple weeks in a row, we attempted to contact the customer by phone. We left several voicemails and we were hung up on several times. Several weeks later we were able to leave a message with someone on the phone.After several weeks with no response and no payments received, the locksmith stopped by her location to request payment. The locksmith collected $40 in cash of the remaining $48 bill that she still owed. The locksmith and customer agreed on the spot that the $40 would be payment in full. We considered this matter closed. In her letter, the customer mentioned a money order and to this day we still have not received such money order and do not expect to receive the money order from her anytime in the future. As I mentioned before, we consider this debt paid in full and we do not plan on any action regarding this customer. As a side note, we have received a direct letter from this customer threatening legal action against our company and using much less professional language than the letter she sent to the Revdex.com. I'm would be happy to forward this letter to you at your request. After 30 years in business, it isn't a total surprise to have an angry customer - we just never expected it to be a customer who we went out of our way to help by both by allowing a payment plan and a discounted rate when no one else would help her. Nevertheless, we will continue to focus on exceeding our customers expectations by providing superior locksmithing services.
