***,
I have since listened to the in-take phone call and you were given MINIMUMS as our DISPATCHERS are REQUIRED to give all our customersOur office dispatchers are not licensed locksmiths, so for your safety and the safety of our company, they are not allowed to give ANY exact prices over
the phoneWe allow all dispatchers to give minimums and minimums ONLY and we make it very clear that the price your given over the phone is a minimum priceUnless in a case the customer needs a 100% price, then the dispatcher is allowed to call the technician who would be the one doing the job and give them information on what work is required and get a more accurate "flat price" from the technician, which in most cases, to make room for issues once arriving, that price will be an inflated priceSince we don't exactly know what we are getting ourselves into, until we are onsite and able to determine what work needs to be done, what tools will need to be used and what amount of liability is involved in us completing the workIt is VERY difficult for us to give a 100% exact prices over the phoneAlso, In most cases we do not allow ANY KIND OF REFUND for price related disputes, we have you agree to a price on-site BEFORE any work is started and we have you sign for the satisfaction of said completed work and payment of said price at the completion of the workIn your case, I'm assuming since you were paying on behalf of someone else, an exception was made for youHowever, since you have already been approved and given a partial refund, that is the best we will do for the service you were providedWe stand by our work 100%, and we hold to the fact that you got quality service for the price that was paidYes, you probably could have paid a cheaper price for someone else to come out, but that cheaper price, also in most cases will get you a less experienced technician, and with less experience comes more errors, damage and riskThat is not something we like to provide to our customers, we like to give satisfactory work with minimal errors and we pride ourselves in staffing and hiring only the best and most experienced technicians in the areaOn a side note, I do want to inform you that the technician who serviced you, was not supposed to have anyone with him during the course of a jobThat is very unprofessional and not to the standards that we like to hold here at Locksmith Plus IncFor this reason, this technician is no longer working with our companyWe do appreciate you bringing that to our attention, we sincerely apologize

Our company performed all work necessary to appropriately complete this job in an accurate and professional mannerThe same as we would for any ignition replacement or ignition rebuild, which includes replacing or exchanging damaged wafers within the ignitionAs for the $dollars in charges
that the customer paidThe customer was aware of these charges before any work had been started and the customer agreed to this cost We are an EMERGENCY MOBILE serviceWe come out to the location of the customer to preform all workOf course, In a competitive market like we have today, we try to keep our costs as low as possibleHowever, because we are a EMERGENCY MOBILE service, it will be a little more expensive than the cost of a standard shop, we cater to the convenience of the customerFor the customer to take his vehicle into a less convenient, but cheaper costing shop, including towing costs, the customer would be paying approximately the same cost in the end totalThe customer was serviced on 12/20/We did not get a complaint call from this customer until 12/25/@ aprox 4:00am PST When the customer originally called in to make the complaint on 12/25/He told us that he had a fire under the hood of his vehicleIf it was a fire from the IGNITION the fire would not have been UNDER THE HOOD it would have been in the cab of the vehicleThat seems to me to be a issue with other mechanics of the vehicle, not an issue with the work we didWe had the technician who preformed the work follow up with the customer anywaysAfter speaking with the customer and getting a better understanding of what happened after we left and completed the work, we concluded that the vehicle issues could not have stemmed from usThe ignition was still working properly according to the customer, The key was turning and giving power to the vehicle and the vehicle would just not start and it was "really hot" under the hood We advised the customer he should take his vehicle to a local mechanic to find out what the issue wasWe didn't hear back from this customer until another party (female) name ***, Who claimed to be the customer's Mother, called us back on 12/28/2015, again to accuse us of the mechanical issues of the vehicleWe told them AGAINWe did not find that we are at fault for this issueShe said she was going to take the vehicle to a local mechanic, and would call us back on Wednesday 12/30/We didn't hear back from this customer, ***, until 1/08/2016, when she again called, to make a complaint on behalf of Mr***Saying that she paid a mechanic $for this to be fixed, She claimed that the technician said the issues were caused by us and her mechanic is the one that told her thatWe still have yet to receive any proper documentation stating this is true and accurate informationAs for the "wood stick" in the ignition, this was NEVER mentioned during ANY of the complaint phone callsI'm not certain of how accurate this information isAnd I have yet to receive any documentation to show this is accurate information. The reason I am doubting this information, aside from the lack of proper evidence that is is accurate, is the fact that we try our 100% best to keep our working space as clean as possible, to prevent loss of parts and to ensure cleanliness, and professionalismWhich to be honest, was extremely hard at this job, considering the entire van the customer had been living in was a complete disaster with trash, cigarette butts and ash literately covering almost every square Inch of the vehicleWe did the best we would to preform the work in an accurate and professional manner, considering the conditions we our technician had to work inI still find it hard to believe a piece of wood was found within the ignition because we performed the rebuild outside of the customers vehicle on our work bench, the same as we do for every jobNo debris of any kind should have been a factor in the reason for this customers vehicle catching fireWhen the customer originally called in to make the complaintHe told us that he had a fire under the hood of his vehicleIf it was a fire from the IGNITION the fire would not have been UNDER THE HOOD it would have been in the cab of the vehicleThat seems to me to be a issue with other mechanics of the vehicle, not an issue with the work we didUntil the customer can provide me with a professional document from a reputable mechanic, stating that the vehicle not working, and catching on fire, is due to the ignition work done, then I cannot issue ANY KIND of a refund

Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because:At no time did the company or it's representatives inform me to send "proof". When my mother [redacted] called to talk to someone she was not allowed to talk to any technician or member of management.  I have a note on the bill I paid the garage to do the work that a states" there were no wafers" "there was a piece of wood that did not belong." Your technician told me he had to "stick a piece of wood in it to get it to work." I find it hard to believe the work was done on the "work bench" as the technician came to Grants Pass from Medford, left for 30 minutes came back and the work was done? I have reported this to the Revdex.com because I hope to stop others from getting the same service. Sincerely,[redacted]

[redacted], I'm sorry you feel animosity towards our company.  Let me respond.
I spoke with you early on a Sunday to tell you that we could cut you a key, but as you were about an hour and a half out of bend, I told you it would be in the evening.  You said that wouldn't not be ok and...

asked if we could cut you keys and you pick them up.  That is not our normal procedure so I asked you some questions. I learned that you had replaced and rekeyed the ignition earlier. I explained to you that we can cut a key based on your VIN and if you'd like you could pick it up.  I explained to you that we didn't normally operate in such a manner because we can't promise working keys without being on scene, and especially if you had done work as a non professional. You ask us if we could cut you keys based on your VIN, and we did that for you.  By the time you tried the keys and, as you say, they didn't work, you had drilled your own ignition (again), ruining any way for us to correct your mistake.
The agreed on price was for keys cut to the code based on your VIN.  You paid for one and we handed you three.  They didn't work because you had non professional work done to your ignition before we had even spoken.
