Loden Vision Centers Reviews (2)

My experience with Loden Vision Center has been beyond negative I originally went to them to get prescription sunglasses for photosensitivity that I acquired during an illnessAlso, I wanted to get contactsI had an appointment with Dr*** Instead of being seen by Dr***, I was seen by her student In the intial moments of the unsupervised appointment, I explained to the student that I had been very sick, and I would prefer to see Dr*** directly The student continued to move forward with the eye exam saying that Dr*** would be in shortly In the not-so-short amount of time, the student was less than gentle with my very sensitive eyes She was very rough with the tonometer pen, so much so that I pushed her hands away She tried to remove a contact from my eye even after I told her I could remove it myself; again I had to push her hands away Upon completing the exam, I explained that the prescription she chose wasn't correct, and she argued with me that it was Dr*** did pop in at the end to introduce herself I was so taken back by the whole experience that I said nothing, ordered my glasses and contacts, paid over $after insurance and left The next morning I woke up with a horrible eye infection in my right eye My eye was swollen shut and irritated My general practitioner said it was allergic blepharitis caused from something they put in my eye Several days later, I returned to Loden to pick up my glasses and make another appointment with Dr***, only to find that my glasses prescription was completely wrong, and the soonest they could see me was two weeks out After calling management, they moved my appoinment up I must premise the rest of this complaint, with the fact that I had been very ill However, other than photosensitivity, my eyes were perfectly fine prior to visiting Loden Dr*** checked my eyes at this second visit She agreed that the prescription was not correct, but with the eye infection and the now clogged pore in my eyelid (chalazion) she felt it best to wait on the prescription change until the infection was gone Over the next several weeks, I returned to Loden several times to have my eyes checked Each time, my prescription was not the same Dr*** said it was most likely from my previous illness The problem with that assessment, is that I did not have blepharitis or a chalazion prior to seeing the student Each time I saw Dr***, she would set up another appointment for a later test Each time she did this, I asked if I needed to check with my insurance Her response was, "No." After two months of testing and waiting, Dr*** decided to have my old prescription put back into my new frames However, upon picking the frames up, the prescription was still incorrect The contacts originally ordered also came in Not only was the prescription incorrect, but it was the completely wrong type of contacts I had ordered Acuvue Oasys (2week) which I have happily worn for years, but I received Acuvue Moist (1day.) I was truly willing to call this a loss and just be done with Loden Until, I received several bills My insurance is not going to cover the tests Loden ran I would not have needed those tests if it was not for the experience with the student I also would not have approved them if I knew I was going to have to pay hundreds out of pocket It gets even worse though! They want to charge me another $for the contacts because they did not total the bill correctly I am 100% certain you can't charge someone for a product and then two months later tell them they owe you more money for it because they made a mistake Loden's billing department has admitted their mistake, but still expects me to pay them When I explained I would not be giving them another red cent, they said I could pay them less because they had also accidently charged me a $copay for my first appointment and they were putting that towards the optical bill instead I personally feel they are stealing my $ The only positive in the entire experience is that they are very polite and smile while they give you horrible service Needless to say, I will not be giving them anymore money, or returning to Loden ever again Very disappointed!

I had LASIK surgery with Dr Loden and had a GREAT experience with them! They were all really nice and reassuring with me and my fears about having surgeryI'm so glad that I did go through with it! This is the best my sight has ever been! I tell everyone that I can "if you've ever thought about it- go see DrLoden!!!!
