Review: 060214-I am sending this email to advise that the above referenced car that was purchased from your

Dealership on May 23rd and picked up on May 24, is disabled as of May 31st which was only seven days from the date of purchase.

When I called earlier today I was advised that if anything is wrong I should go thru the warranty company. If by chance my car overheated

It would’ve overheated the same day I drove it off the lot.

I had a mechanic look at the car and was advised that it’s the thermostat housing along with the thermostat.

The repair would be about $100 for parts and labor. I also had the car towed which was $65. I am asking

You to reimburse me for these charges since my car was only a week old at the time of purchase. I was also told that this probably wouldn’t

Have happened the same day of purchase if the car was just sitting and/or was reset meaning it had to be driven for a little while for the fluids to really

Circulate thru the car system. 06-11-14 my car was put on the diagnostic machine by my mechanic and two messages were displayed from the first day that I purchased The car. PCM Power Control Module - Fault B2872 Tire pressure Sensor - Fault.I was advised to call to warranty company and advise of the issues of the car. I called the warranty company and these items arent covered under the warranty and and I am ultimately responsible for the repairs even though the car was purchased 14 days ago. I am asking for a manager and he said there is no one I can speak to except him or John who sold me the car. If I need a manager I need to send an email to lodiautomart.com as the owners see all the eamils. I am asking for my car to be repaired by the dealer. I dont feel safe in the car driving my kids around knowing something can go wrong with no warning or indication. Actually no lights would come on beacause the sensor that tells you is the car is malfunctioning is damaged. so by him saying there were no lights on to indicate aDesired Settlement: I want the existing repairs to be handled by the dealer since they are not eligible under my warranty that I purchased. They sold me the car and gave me a rich warranty with hopes that the repairs would be covered. If that were the case I would be satisfied, however that is not the case.

Response:

miss [redacted] purchased this explorer on 5/23 2014.miss [redacted] got a 12 month warranty with the vehicle of which $200is still owed to the dealer. miss [redacted] had a problem with the thermostat on the vehicle -- it wasn't opening and closing as so it sounds from her description. she had it repaired for a $100 and paid $65 for the tow. miss [redacted] was informed that $100of her balance would be eliminated --thus she only had $100 remaining to be paid to the dealer. the thermostat is not covered under the warranty.miss [redacted] is not happy with the warranty-- if she would like we can cancel the warranty and give the warranty money back to her --thus making the car as-is .as of now miss [redacted] has a 12 month unlimited mileage warrantythat covers not all of the car but many components of the vehicle. if she would like to cancel the warranty I think that can be arranged.
