I worked with [redacted] for about three-four months to help Mrs [redacted] get a complete re-roofIt was awarded and I brought her more paperwork than I can even imagine to prove I was a legitimate companyShe called to verify my insurance and became hysterical when they told her it had just lapses which I had no clue about because my asset at the time was the one handling the Ins paymentsI called the insurance company and they told me that I just needed to sign a document and everything would be fine but I didn’t get to speak to them until the following morning because they were closed and arelocated in CaliforniaI signed the document sent it to them and the issue was resolvedMrs [redacted] immediately started standardizing me on Facebook and threatening with attorneys and the police department so I contacted my attorney and was informed that she breached her contract and I was to hold off on everything just in case anything came about the issuePeople need to understand that you cannot just breech a signed contract without some penalty or feeThe day after I received her half for the material costs we were already minutes from her house when I called her to inform her that the employees were going to begin setting up while I went to get a permit once again she became hysterical and said no I don’t want y’all here, I changed my mind I do not want a roof from y’allWell what customers do not understand is when I asked her the previous evening if she was sure she wanted us to show up the following morning that’s when she should have said noInstead I ordered all mat rials the same evening around 8pm had proservices from Lowe’s come in to get her the materials discounted, and had my employees leave by 5:am to be there by 7:30amAll of that costs money, none of it is free because someone just s changes there mind after finding out there’s an issue a really easy issue that was addressed immediatelyWe were under contract they cannot just be breached and threatened without following proper proceduresAt this point I am awaiting contact from her attorney, just in case she actually hired one so that we can close the case

I worked with [redacted] for about three-four months to help Mrs. [redacted] get a complete re-roof. It was awarded and I brought her more paperwork than I can even imagine to prove I was a legitimate company. She called to verify my insurance and became hysterical when they told her it had just lapses which...

I had no clue about because my asset at the time was the one handling the Ins payments. I called the insurance company and they told me that I just needed to sign a document and everything would be fine but I didn’t get to speak to them until the following morning because they were closed and arelocated in California. I signed the document sent it to them and the issue was resolved. Mrs. [redacted] immediately started standardizing me on Facebook and threatening with attorneys and the police department so I contacted my attorney and was informed that she breached her contract and I was to hold off on everything just in case anything came about the issue. People need to understand that you cannot just breech a signed contract without some penalty or fee. The day after I received her half for the material costs we were already 5 minutes from her house when I called her to inform her that the employees were going to begin setting up while I went to get a permit once again she became hysterical and said no I don’t want y’all here, I changed my mind I do not want a roof from y’all. Well what customers do not understand is when I asked her the previous evening if she was sure she wanted us to show up the following morning that’s when she should have said no. Instead I ordered all mat rials the same evening around 8pm had proservices from Lowe’s come in to get her the materials discounted, and had my employees leave by 5:30 am to be there by 7:30am. All of that costs money, none of it is free because someone just s changes there mind after finding out there’s an issue a really easy issue that was addressed immediately. We were under contract they cannot just be breached and threatened without following proper procedures. At this point I am awaiting contact from her attorney, just in case she actually hired one so that we can close the case.

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:.Ms.  [redacted] has stated that I breeched the contract but she was the one that said she could no longer do business with me. I am still pursuing legal action in trying to get my money back. I gave her ample time to return it and she has not done so. No work was done and no materials were delivered.   [redacted] also took 3 months just to get a corrected bid into [redacted] that should have only taken a week at the most. I did stop her from working on my roof because she did not have insurance and I was not going to be liable if ANY accidents were to happen. I dealt with her for 5 months total and did not receive any work done other than the bid to which I feel is the job of any contractor that I was to hire. [redacted] keeps insisting that she is charging me for leg work when she has done nothing other than sending the bud in to this. [redacted] said she was going to pull the permit that morning but she wasn't even registered with the city so she wouldn't be able to get a permit. She had a fraudulent insurance card that was confirmed with her insurance company so therefore I was not going to let her start any work on my roof. Also the job was supposed to be around $7000 and ended up around $7300 and I gave her more than half down which was $4050. No contractors were supposed to take money up front that I came to find out after the fact. [redacted] stated after I confronted her that she had customers not paying so she needed the money upfront. According to her insurance she was fraudulent at the time I hired her and has misrepresented her company and should have to return all money given to her. To which it stands I am waiting for my attorney to take the next step since this has been a drawn out situation. She also provided me with 2 forms which was an expired notarized business letter and a forged insurance policy.
Regards,
Corey Witty
