Review: I aquired ira w greene log home lumber services to clean,stain and caulk my log home, the agreed price was to be $5000 , 2500 up front for materials and the rest when the home was completed to my satisfaction, the work began, he subcontracted a crew j.m. remodeling and painting to do the work I purchased the log wash for the home and 1 case of energy seal caulking that I prefered for the home , the caulking was to be applied into every log joint and the old caulking to be removed and new installed , the company pressure washed my home and feathered the wood in many places and didnt sand them down, and they started off with the correct caulking but in mid stream, changed to a cheaper brand and a diffrent color, when I saw it was diffrent color and was being placed into the log checks I advised ira greene that I needed to show them some things that were not right, and we needed to meet in person to go over the issues, then before I knew it the home began to be stained, and was stained over old stain and stringy stain, I advised again I was very displeased, the caulking is now stained over and is 2 diffrent colors and is smeared over the logs the caulking that was supposed to be removed was caulked over top of, I advised again I was not happy, and they stained over the home with 2 more coats of stain which darkened the homes logs tremendiously, then ira greene threatened me that if I did not give them more money I would not only have him on me but the other crew, I aquired another second opinion from another log home refinisher and they said the home was not properly preped and the pressure washing had feathered the wood and had not been sanded where this happened and the cheaper caulking was already seperating, and all would have to be removed , properly prepped and recaulked with the correct caulking and restained which all totals would be in excess of $9000 I advised the company that I would like a refund of the $2500 and was told no, I have video of the home before and after and digital imagesDesired Settlement: all I want is a refund of the origional $2500 that was paid when they started, and I will have another company to repair the home
