For example, she had us wire and re-wire as she changed her mind about where she wanted certain things, thus resulting in an additional $1,500 in labor.  She then refused to pay these additional charges. The original contract was for $3,280 of which she only paid $2,700. Review: I hired [redacted] to re-wire my old home and update it to code from knob & tube. I explicitly hired [redacted] as a licensed and recommended electrician so I could have an inspection completed. He originally quoted completion of the work in 3-5 days. The work has now taken over 8 weeks, is 3/4 complete and he did not pull a permit as he claimed he did. Needless to say, he has also not completed the inspection which makes the quality of his work suspect. I will need to have another electrician inspect his work, possibly re-do the re-wiring including wall demolition and refinishing walls, and complete the inspection. The cost may be equal or more to what I originally paid [redacted]. (3/4 of the work is complete and 3/4 of the total bill is paid in full.)Desired Settlement: Either complete the inspection work or refund me for the complete cost to have another electrician complete an inspection which may require opening walls and re-wiring in the most extreme case. I am collecting estimated from other electricians now.
