I am rejecting this response because:  I lost $20.5K because of this guy - he drilled in an area in which he knew would not be productive.  Scott deducted $1,950 off the bill for the 2nd...

well so my loss is at $18.5K.  I have not received any paperwork; I need to check with my credit card company to verify the charge for the 2nd well.

I am rejecting this response because:  [redacted] drilled the first well in a location which he knew would not produce water.  When I first met with [redacted] I was in the process of clearing the land.  He indicated that the very front part of the property near the property line would be best.  That area is thick with old growth Oaks and Madrones and at that time was thick with Manzanita.  So he chose a location at the top of the hill.  I asked him if we could do it approximately 40 to 50 feet northeast of that location and he said yes, that it was fine.  I told him "if this location is not good, don't drill here."  He assured me it was fine and said the probability there was equal to the location which he had chosen.  Then he drilled and drilled and there was no water.  A conscientious driller would have stopped at a certain point and had a discussion with the owner regarding the options available.  But he kept drilling to a ridiculous depth.  I did not know anything about well drilling at the time; had I known then what I know now I would have demanded that he go no further than 500 feet.  When the drilling was done, he said to me "that is why I don't like to drill on the hump (of the hill)."  So my question is why did he?  He knew there was water up there!  Not only did he proceed to drill where there would not be water, but he also drilled to a ridiculous depth vs. pulling out and drilling some place else.
