Initial Business Response / [redacted] (1000, 5, 2015/10/15) */ [redacted] brought her vehicle in for repairs for a no start complaint during the afternoon of Thursday September 10, The vehicle was disassembled and she asked that we reassemble by reinstalling her alternator and then diagnosing the no start complaint The technician reassembled the vehicle The technician did check the battery and alternator as needed to verify that test good The technician then tested for a parasitic draw by using a lab scope He tested for power for parasitic draw and found an aftermarket subwoofer / amplifier staying on drawing power He then unplugged the amplifier The vehicle then stayed over the weekend so could retest Monday that the car started The car did startBy all good intention we felt good that the draw coming from the amplifier had caused the no start condition as when unplugged after the car sat for two days started right up [redacted] contacted us on Monday I believe It was discussed that the amplifier had a draw , it was unplugged over the weekend and the car started Monday after sitting two days It was discussed that there could be something else but this was the found draw at that time It was agreed upon we both felt comfortable to release the car and she would pick it up The charges were for reassembling the vehicle and testing for the draw [redacted] reached out at a later date to let us know her car hadn't started again and a friend or contact had found the problem and fixed itWe asked that she call back in a week to ensure it was still starting ok She did and it was We communicated we would call back after speaking to the technician in a timely mannerWe did not get back to [redacted] when we said we would for that we are sorry [redacted] reached out to us again and spoke with the technician We have always appreciated our relationship with [redacted] and are sorry to disappoint We do feel as if the charges are fair for the work that was completed for reassembling the vehicle and tested for a found draw But also understand a customer's view as still having the same issue We will reimburse the customer as requested $(% of the charged amount)A phone message was left for [redacted] on October 12, in the afternoon after receiving this complaint I have not gotten a response from [redacted] I would like to refund her the requested amount and would like to know if she would like it by check or reimbursment on her card If to the card I will need her to call me with the card information or stop in with it
