Loganberry Ridge Apartments Reviews (%countItem)

I have been living here 2 years for the last 4 months I have been told that they would fix the portal on the website where we pay our rent. My rent amount on the website is not the correct amount it is asking for more then what I am responsible for paying. Once again I was told last month and before that that it would be corrected so I would be able to pay my rent on time to avoid late fees. It is still not fixed. I also told maintenance that I needed a new toilet seat it is still not fixed. I told him that our downstairs door is not letting us insert our keys to get in it still hasn’t been fixed. Our elevator has been down for at least a month no one seems to care about any of the tenants that live here. I have called the leasing office no one answers the phone nor responds back to voicemails. We don’t have security cameras here. I have over 50 pictures in my phone that shows you how disgusting this place is no one comes to clean up we have broken windows in the hallway no one seems to care about fixing. I would really like some help I am begging. Please if someone can contact me back immediately that would be greatly appreciated.

To Whom It May Concern,

I am ***, tenant of Loganberry Ridge Apartments, ***, ***. I am writing to inform you of the problem I am experiencing with my rental lease agreement needing urgent attention.

I moved into *** on July 28, 2016, following the acceptance of my current position with *** as a ***. Acceptance of this position required me to relocate to Cleveland, OH from *** Please note that I have relocated to various cities and states throughout my employment with ***, in fact I had just relocated to ***, OH from Austin, TX for an Estimator Supervisor position a year earlier. To make the relocations a smooth, worry-free process, my employer recommended that I work with ***. For my move to Cleveland, I was assisted by Tierra ***, she specifically recommended Loganberry Ridge Apartments due to the low crime rates in the area, affordability and the short commute to work, grocery stores, parks, and more. These benefits were very important to me because I had never been to Cleveland prior to the move.

During the move-in process, I worked with Christina *** and Madelin ***. Christina, initially contacted me via e-mail on June 26, 2016.

The email was then followed up with a phone conversation with Christina in which she advised me of the current promotions and deals for the month of July, which included “sign a 13 month lease and receive one month free.” Due to me being in ***, OH at the time, most of the contact I had with your company representatives pre -lease was via email and phone.

On July 28, 2016, after meeting with the leasing agent face-to-face and going through the required rental lease agreement documents, it was my understanding that I had a agreed to a 13 month lease. In fact, when I pointed out to my leasing agent that my copy of the rental lease agreement stated that it was for one year, it was explained that she updated the lease in the computer system so that if would reflect a 13 month lease and that I should have no issues because anyone looking in the system will see that my lease would end on August 31, 2017.

Fast forward to the last week of July 2017. On Thursday, July 27, 2017, I came home from work and noticed a paper in my door. The document was a reminder that my lease would end on August 31, 2017. I went into the office on Friday, July 28, 2017 and spoke with the current *** Tiffany about the promotion/deal for the month of September. Tiffany was very dismissive about my concerns and only reached out to her supervisor Deann ***, only after I asked her several times. After Tiffany, spoke with Deann, I was advised of the following: Tiffany stated Deann confirmed that there was a “sign a 13 month lease and receive one month free” promotion/deal during the time of my move-in, Tiffany confirmed that the system reflected that my lease would end on August 31, 2017 which reflected a 13 month lease, but since they were not made aware that the system lease end date of August 31, 2017 was to reflect the deal/promotion and I since I was not provided with any documentation to support the promotion/deal, they would not be able to honor the agreement. When, I asked Tiffany if she could provide me with Deann’s contact information, I was told no and when I asked Tiffany to ask Deann, if she could contact me to discuss, I was told by Tiffany that Deann said no. Tiffany then instructed one of the office staff members to update the system to reflect the paper lease end date of July 31, 2017. I was then told by Tiffany that I had until July 31, 2017 to move, that if I didn’t move ASAP, I would need to complete a move out noticed, which I completed for September 31, 2017. After leaving the office, I was contacted by an office staff member who told me the move-out date was updated to August 31, 2017.

I am very disappointed in the handling of this matter. I was offered nothing by way of an apology. No one took the time to research the matter further, no one made any attempts to contact the leasing agents that I worked with at the time of my lease signing, and most of all no one took time to approach the matter with care, empathy, consideration or logical sense, meaning if my paper lease reflected a 12 months and the system lease reflected a 13 months, then hey, maybe what I am saying is true, I mean I did not create the conversations with your staff members out of thin air, I certainly did not input the terms of my lease agreement into your computer system. Instead, it was handled in the same manner as my repair issues, curt, lacking concern, dismissive attitude and untimely. I am not trying to “get-over” on anyone or ask for something that I was not told when I moved in. I have absolutely no issues with upholding my end of this agreement, because as I mentioned above, it has always been my understanding that I had a 13 month lease agreement. I would welcome the opportunity to discuss this matter further and to learn of how you propose to resolve the matter in a fair equitable manner for all parties involved.

Thank you
