to our shop (at our expense) and work toward making that determinationIf it is found that *** was in anyway negligent in the process of conducting the oil change service, we will work to compensate the customer accordinglyWe will make contact with Mr*** first thing in the morning to arrange pick up of his vehicle. If you have any further questions I can be reached on my cell at *** of via email at ***Mahalo,Christopher *P***President / COOFastlube Inc

Good Morning Ms Sides, Thank you for forwarding the complaint from Mr*** ***.On Wednesday, May 31st, Flagship performed an annual vehicle inspection "Safety Check" on Mr***'s Ford RangerI am very sorry that Mr*** is experiencing issues with his transmission after
the vehicle inspection but I can assure you that nothing is done during the inspection process that would have any affect on his vehicles transmissionNothing is done during the inspection that could cause the stated issueThe inspection involves a series of visual and performance inspections that are done on different vehicle systems and at no time are any parts required to be removed.I would be more than happy to help Mr*** out in taking a look at the vehicle at his convenience If it is a simple repair that requires no additional parts, I will take care of it at no chargeI can be contacted directly on my cell at 808-561-*** or via email at ***@flagshiphawaii.com Mahalo,Christopher *P***

Complaint: 1***
I am rejecting this response because:Good day to you,Ms.***! I appreciate Fastlube working with me to settle my disputeAs I have stated,I strongly believe that on 1/14/Fastlube did not completely fill my truck with oil during oil change(quarts less). On Feb.26,2016, I spoke to the Fastlube manager Mr.Eric R*** and he told me that this was the Fastlube company's fault.Mr.Christopher P*** and Mr.Eric R*** both feel that coolant leak caused low oil resulting in engine damage as he stated in his email of I checked with four certified mechanics and they all dispute this position by FastlubeI have enclose copies of their statements.Obvious evidences will be presented to the court of law if Fastlube will not compromise with the resolution that I'm asking.Since Fastlube company admitted that it's their fault, the company has three options to choose in order to resolve this issue.1.Reimbursement of $1,500.00,but I'll keep my truck. OR2.Reimbursement of $1,and $transportation expenses, total of $1,800.00.They may have my truck. OR3.Replacement of my truck engine.Estimated cost of repair from certified mechanic,$2,400.00I hope Fastlube find this resolution unbiasedIf the Fastlube company decided to reimbursed me, I would need to have the payment on March 21,If not, they have until April 15,to replace my truck engine
Sincerely,
*** ***

I received information via email that your good office decided to close my complaint(No: ***) against FastLube Wahiawa because I didn't give an update regarding the results of settlementResolution to my claims against FastLube Wahiawa wasn't attained yetFastLube towed my truck this week Monday, Feb.22,at 09:a.mfor further check-upA courtesy call was made on Feb24, at 8:a.m.; Eric, the manager of FastLube, told me that they were still checking my truckI am a fair customer, but I do expect that the workers at FastLube Wahiawa resolve the damage they did to my truckTherefore, I would like to re-open my complaint against FastLube WahiawaI emphasized in my first contact with your good office that FastLube Wahiawa was negligent for not filling up enough oil in my truck, which in retrospect ruined the engine

Good Afternoon Ms. [redacted],Thanks you for forwarding the response by Mr. [redacted] and giving us the the opportunity to respond. As I stated in my original response, we had Mr. [redacted]'s vehicle towed back to our shop(at our expense) and conducted a thorough inspection of the vehicle to try and determine what caused the engine failure. Upon inspection, it was found that the vehicle had no obvious oil leaks from the oil filter or drain plug which is what [redacted] had worked on more than a month prior. We also found that the vehicle had a significant coolant leak that appeared to have been going on for some time. Please see attached video and pictures to support that claim. In addition, when my Manager Eric R[redacted] initially spoke to Mr. [redacted], he stated that when the vehicle stalled, the coolant was "bubbling out" which is consistent with an overheating issue. Mr. [redacted] contends that [redacted] must not have put any oil in his truck when the oil change was initially done back in January. This is an extremely far fetched scenario for the simple fact that if the vehicle had no oil, he would not have been able to reach home without experiencing significant issues. That being said, it is highly improbable to think that he could have driven it around for a full month with no oil. Even though we know this to be true and [redacted] accepts no responsibility for the engine failure that Mr. [redacted] experienced, we still made an attempt to work with him to resolve the issue with his best interest in mind. [redacted] offered to purchase the truck from Mr. [redacted] at fair market value based on the [redacted] with the intent of repairing the vehicle and selling to recoup a portion the money we spent. Mr. [redacted] agreed to this offer at first and later backed out citing that he thought the vehicle was worth more. At this point I personally called Mr. [redacted] and renegotiated for an amount that was acceptable to him. Again, the following Monday morning he called me and backed out.Not sure at this point what else we could have done. I believe we made an honest attempt to take care of this customer but he apparently did not want it. If you have any question, please feel free to contact me on my cell at [redacted] or via email at [redacted].Mahalo,Christopher * P[redacted]President / COOFastlube Inc
