Review: On Monday, March *, 2013, I ordered a Freedom Wandering Prevention Solution wristband and portable receiver from LifeProtekt. This device would be used by my father-in-law and purchased by my mother-in-law. The person with whom I spoke was [redacted], and his number is [redacted]. He told me he was based out of [redacted]. He told me it would take approximately two weeks for the device to be delivered. After three weeks, I called to ask why we had not received the device. [redacted] said that the equipment was being shipped from the United Kingdom and that this shipment was being held in Customs. He also stated that the shipment would be cleared by the next week, and he would ship our device Next-Day Air. The charge for the device, $599, had cleared my mother-in-law's credit card account by this point. On April **, we called again. [redacted]s assured us that the demand for these devices had been heavy, but ours would arrive by Tuesday of the next week. We have called several times since then; and his cell phone goes straight to voice mail. I just now called him on my cell phone rather than our house phone, and he answered. He was very polite and said that he would "knock off" $100 from the cost of the device because of the trouble we had experienced. He said he could ship it by the [redacted] of this month. I proceeded to tell him that I was currently logged in to the site and was actively filling out a complaint. He immediately hung up. I called him back and left a voice message telling him that I was working on a Complaint to please call me back. He just sent a text message saying "[redacted], I will call you back." He hasn't called back.

My mother-in-law's name is [redacted].Desired Settlement: We need this device for our father-in-law. My mother-in-law is his primary caregiver, and she needs to be able to find him when he wanders off. If LifeProtekt doesn't have the devices, they need to tell us the truth and refund our money.



At this time, I have been contacted directly by Lok8u LLC regarding complaint ID [redacted], however my complaint has NOT been resolved because: When we attempted to activate the GPS Tracking Device, we discovered that the device identification number had already been activated by another customer. We still do not have a working device/account for my father-in-law.
