Loman Ford & Kia Reviews (4)

Review: August 20th 2013 I purchased a car from Lomans Auto. A few days after the sale I was contacted by the bank that offered me the car loan. The bank believed I had two additional car loans out. My first point of complaint is that a salesperson from Loman Auto told me my car was needed for repairs due to a manufacturers recall. They drove a replacement car to me and took mine back for alleged repairs. Within a day or two I was able to clear up the misunderstanding with the bank. Another day or two passed and I heard nothing about my car or pickup. It's only after I called in to the service department that I found out that they don't handle manufacturers recalls. I was lied to. After being redirected several times, I was finally told that my car was sitting in the lot waiting for me. The dealership decided to be deceptive instead of telling me that there was an issue with the bank and they needed the car back. The lack of a call to let me know that I can retrieve my car is unacceptable. In addition to the above, I was told that Loman Auto would take care of the process of getting my registration and license plates. Near the expiration of my dealer plates I called in to inquire about where my license plates were. I spoke with a female who was extremely curt and dismissive and offered no information. A few days later I called back and spoke to a manager who told me that due to the earlier bank issue my paper wasn't even put in. I was assured that I would be called and kept up to date. I have yet to receive a single call of any kind from the dealership. I've placed many calls in to the dealership and was after being transferred around many times I was told no useful information. Everything was "Wait" and "We'll let you know". Currently my dealer plates are expired and I'm forced to leave my car in the driveway where it has been for over a week. And still not so much as a single call from the dealership. No courtesy calls, no updates, no apologies, nothing at all.Desired Settlement: I'd like my license plates/registration. While I understand that the dealership cannot force the DMV to move faster, failing to file paperwork in a timely manner suggest that the dealership isn't doing all it can. I'd like better customer service. Well no, that implies that I've received some sort of service to begin with. When a customer presents a problem they shouldn't be ignored or dismissed which is what I was. A courtesy call or two would go a long way to reassuring someone that their concerns are valid and are being taken seriously. Rehearsing to someone the same lines over and over and rushing them off the phone shows that there is no care given to the customer. There needs to be a better policy in place to ensure that everyone is being treated with respect and not being ignored or lost in the shuffle. An apology would be nice as well. A refund would be probably be too much to hope for but I did pay hundreds of dollars in fees for documents/etc for services not received.

Review: On February 15, 2014 my husband and I purchased a extended warranty on the car we were buying. We were changed for the warranty. 5 months later we went to use the warranty and the warranty company has no record of our warranty on file. I called Loman's multiple times and finally spoke to[redacted] and she said our paperwork was sent over to the warranty company but it was never recieved by them. So Loman's has no follow up to see if the overnight was recieved.[redacted] said she overnighted the paperwork and that everything would be in effect the next morning, NOT true. Well now it's two days later[redacted] is never available, no on is ever available to talk to me (managers are ALWAYS with clients) and I still can not get my car fixed. I paid Lomans for a warranty that I don't have..Desired Settlement: I would like the warranty I purchased put into effect.

Review: I purchased a car about 12 months ago. I traded in my old car and was given credit towards the new purchase. I complied with all paperwork and was promised that the dealer was transfer my old car plates to my new car. That never happened.

The dealer removed my old plates and placed them on my newly purchased car and stated all was ok with the documentation and registration for the newly purchased car.

I discovered about 3 weeks ago after receiving a moving violations ticket, that my car was NOT properly registered with the correct plates . The old plates were not valid for this car. I was unable to use my car for two weeks for fear of another moving violation.

The dealer requested I bring them an old insurance card for the trade in car so they can get a duplicate title and then they would be able to provide the correct registration and the correct plates for my car.

I complied. at that point they were now able to provide new plates and my correct registration with a pink slip to go to motor vehicles to have the car inspected. They provided written notice that they would also pay the ticket if I provided proof of payment. I provided proof and now the manager, Mr. [redacted] refuses to reimbursement for the ticket stating that they now need the bill of sales for the car.

Their office stated they called me, but that is not true. I have a home phone with 24 hour voice mail and a cell phone they could use in their records. NO phone calls were ever received.

All paperwork for the trade-in was provided 11 months ago at the time of the sale. The car is no longer on the log. The old car did run properly. I purchased a car in good faith only to have sloppy, irresponsible customer service.

The very lest that should be done is that they honor their written agreement to pay the ticket. aboutDesired Settlement: I desire that the dealer pay the moving violation of $183.00 since they did not transfer my plated to the new car, not did they issue temporary plates OR the proper final plates with correct registration and form for the car to be inspected at the time I purchased the car 11 months ago.

Review: They are a spot delivery scam dealer. They advertise they will "double your down payment" LIE they try to rectify the lie by telling you that you need a perfect credit score. The WORST car dealer experience in my life. They let you drive off without getting approved, then you have to fight with their bank to approve you. I am trying to get down payment back and they keep saying they will mail me a check. They lost my registration and wanted me to drive with expired plates & registration per the "managers" [redacted] & [redacted]. Stay away from this place!!Desired Settlement: Refund of 500
