We stand by our previous letterWe, as a company, offer a parts and labor warrantyManufacturer's warranty is parts onlyIf something would happen and it did involve the pump or the tank there would be no charge for years from the date of installationNo one will do the labor for free on our warranty workMs*** did call the pump manufacturer and they referred her back to us, since we are the one that handles the warrantyMs*** did not have water when we got the call from her, in which, she needed a service callWhen we left she did have waterShe also signed receipt # on April 7, that said she approved the above repairsShe knew the amount of the work to be done before the service technician performed the workThere should be no question that the money is owed with her approvalWe are not required by law to provide an itemized invoicePayment for this is due immediatelyIf we do not receive payment by May 29, 2015, legal action will be implemented
Thank you Steve H*** Manager

You know for this person to make the statement that she assumes that we replaced her equipment with new ones is offensive
" letter-spacing: -0.35pt;">Her son watched us do the tests that determined the equipment was defectiveHe even kept the old submersible pump because he thought he could repair the motor (good tuck)In response to wanting an itemized bill, we simply do not provide themThe price was discussed with the customer before doing the work, and the receipt was signed that the customer agreed to the repairs being madeIt would take me days to include all of the items that are actually included In the costs that we incur replacing defective equipmentWe offer our own in-house warranties at additional chargeWith our extended warranties, we offer the replacement of said equipment at no additional chargeDoes the customer really believe that a contractor that did not do the installation would come and replace same at no charge for the labor or materialAs far as going out of business, we have been doing business since and have sucession plans in placeShe has received, by email copies, of model numbers and our written warrantiesPayment for this is due immediatelyThank you steve.H***

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that the response would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.[Provide details of why you are not satisfied with this resolution.]I stand by my previous requests.
The company's last response said that the manufacturer referred me back to their company. That is absolutely untrue. The conversations I have had with the manufacturer have told me how to get the warranty for myself but the company has refused to provide me with an itemized receipt to be able to do so. The manufacturer also told me that all of their bladder tanks carry a 5 year warranty which would mean that the tank the company took from my home on April 7, 2015 was still under warranty and I shouldn't have had to pay for a new one. The company told me I only had a 1 year warranty on the old tank. Even every bladder tank I have looked up on the internet and priced in stores and with other well companies carry a 5 year warranty. I have asked for information from the original install of the well in Oct 2011 (pump & tank with model numbers and the actual log from the install) so I can check for myself, but to date the company has ignored my requests. As I have stated before, I got no information from them at install, not even an owner's manual for the tank, and they're doing it again.
When I asked the servicemen at install of pump and tank on April 7, 2015 if these items go bad in a year if I would be looking at spending $1,900 again, they said yes, which indicated to me that both items had a one year warranty. So I asked about an extended warranty. They offered me an extended 5 year warranty for $100. A couple of days later I called the manufacturer and gave them the model number from the new tank and they said it has a 5 year warranty. The company's extended warranty was to start the day of install, which overlaps the real manufacturers warranty. I will not be buying the company's extended warranty.
I feel that as a consumer I have a right to the records I have requested. I question why the company chooses to withhold this information from their customers. An itemized receipt with 3 items on it (price and model number of pump and tank, and labor charges) would take someone less than a couple of minutes to write out. There is not a bill I get or transaction I make, even at the grocery store, that doesn't itemize my purchase and price on the receipt. That seems like good customer service to me.
I am disputing the charge for the new tank until I can find out what the warranty was on the old one. I plan to pay part of the bill that was possibly the amount for the pump and labor because I know I owe for that (but without the itemized receipt I don't really know what that true amount is).

To address West Pump & Well Service
responses to my original complaint:
My statement which said I assumed they
replaced my old pump and tank with new ones did not mean that I
thought they reinstalled the ones they took out, the statement
clarification is that I 'assume' that they installed "new
equipment that carried a manufacturer warranty". I question
that because they seem to be reluctant to provide me with
manufacturer warranty on the pump and tank they installed or a
receipt showing me what the purchase price is for them and the date
they were installed. But I am also very aware that without a sales
receipt showing the date of sale, equipment purchased with
identifying model number information I will have no proof to turn in
to the manufacturer in case my pump and tank go bad before the
manufacturer warranty is expired.
Their company may have been in business
for a long time but that does not guarantee tomorrow. I also may
want to choose who I have service my pump and tank in the future.

West Pump & Well Service offered me
a 5 year in house warranty for $100 covering the pump and the tank.
I want to know what the manufacturer's warranty is on each of those
items, as an extended warranty should go into effect After the
manufacturer's warranty. There are some numbers beside the
submersible pump and the bladder tank on the sheet they emailed to me
(which is included in their response to the Revdex.com) but these are not
model numbers and there is no manufacturer name to be able to call
the manufacturer to check on their warranty. Again, I need an
itemized receipt showing the manufacturer and model number to prove
that I purchased those products and the date they were purchased.
Without a bill of sale itemizing exactly what they installed
(manufacturer, model number, code number etched on the side of the
pump and the date I bought them), I have no proof of purchase and the
date of sale to be able to utilize the manufacturer's warranty. I
also want the receipt itemized to show purchase price of the tank and
the pump and what their labor and installation charges are so I can
make an informed decision in the future when I decide who will do my
repairs.
I still want a copy of the log from
when they originally installed my well. I also still want the
manufacturer and model numbers with the original receipt of purchase
from the pump and tank that were installed when the well was put in,
as they did not provide me with that when they installed it.

A typo correction to my original
complaint letter: the bill was not $1010.65, it was $1910.65.
Regards,
